I’ve been looking at the hand position on the trident and Im not sure if the trident could be held like that or the hand has to be facing the back pls help
Also I need suggestions on rendering the background, its supposed to be a big dome that’s exploding front tnt and lava (I used a Minecraft reference) but I’m an amateur on backgrounds

The problem is I drew the fingers before I decided to add the trident so it would make sense is it was wrong, but I wasn’t 100% sure

The position of the hand holding the trident is kinda unnatural, if the character was to hold it steadily, the outer part of the hand would be facing the camera and the thumb would be on the viewer’s right if that makes sense, idk how to explain it.

My recommendation is to draw the position of what is being held before you draw the hand. This helps you think more about the hand wrapping around the object rather than the object trying to fit in the hand
