Hello! I've got some decent experience with art but after facing a series of different roadblocks on my journey I've stopped for quite a while and I want to get back to it again. I want to start from scratch and build up from there to prevent gaps along my journey. My main issue is that for me, I am a structured person and I haven't quite seen a structure I can follow for art such as: what fundamental should I learn first, for how long, how often should I apply it and when do I apply it, when do I know when to move on to another fundamental. I really like bodies, figures and portraits and I aim to draw them better and better ❤️.

Its it okay if you post a piece so I can see how far along you are? It might help to see what you need to work on
Drawabox is a great place to be walked through fundamentals. Youll need to put in dedicated practice or else none of it will register and make its way into your drawings
sure thing
ill send that through in a sec
How long should I be putting in
i have a min of 30 mins per day
maybe 1 hr per day
Hmm I would say first to stick to one thing you want to focus on. If you want to focus on poses and humans then I would learn more anatomy and then move onto figure drawing.
Looking at your art I think you have so much potential, but it feels like you lack the understanding in art basics of lighting and values along with proper perspective.
Furthermore if you want to focus on people and posing you should learn anatomy and do anatomy studies.
I'm not really sure how to give you a structured art program, but if you're in highschool you should utilize your art classes and teachers they will have a better understanding.
Also drawing and consuming art everyday is good, just make sure not to burnout
Theres not really a specific time you should do. Its more about how you spend the time than how long. Spending an hour reinforcing poor techniques just means you’re reinforcing poor techniques.
The issue is, is that I don't know if that's the best choice as I have no proper fundamental base to go to anatomy. I am also self taught and I have never taken an art class ever.
