How to learn shading

I’m trying to shade like the reference image but mine is just so much worse and I don’t know how to fix it. Any tips or tutorials would be very helpful. Thanks!

How do you decide or pick your colours?

Hi your wayyyy better than me but I still wanna help.
For color I am not sure but I think just shading in general should start with greyscale it helps with values alot which you can add the color after, although it takes a bit longer.

Maybe it can help, you need to place each shadow and light zone, trust the process
