Hi everyone, I need some feedback on something I've always struggled with: rendering. I finally finished a sketch I was happy with and decided to try coloring, adding textures, etc., trying to imitate Mathias Osland's style. I've included a picture for reference. I started off reasonably well with the beak, but then I went crazy with the plumage and ended up giving up. I need some tips on how to make it look clean yet chaotic, meaning it has some order. I understand that everything should work from a base to a smaller area, but I'm finding it really difficult to fill in areas with nothing, especially those without folds or anything. What do you think?
#HELP FOR RENDERING

Hey Noah! Nice sketch you got there. On your sketch you have slightly defined the curve on the birds feather wing, but on your rendered piece it kinda vanishes and becomes more straight losing that 3D shape. You could use a lquidfying tool to reshape and curve it so you dont have to redo it. Hope it helps and the rendering on the beak is indeed great!
Hey Quuwo, greetings! Thank you so much, as always, for taking the time; I really appreciate it. And you're right, I lost the 3D silhouette when rendering. Next time, I'll focus on going step by step and respecting the hierarchies, since I think I added too much intensity to the peak and then burned it out! 😲🧐💪🏽
