So i think left one looks better because it’s having more depth in it. The second is good too but looks really poorly in terms of shadows
Don’t be afraid of using darker pencils/pens, but the newer one looks very clean with is great because you can see more details
But as i said it needs more shadows/darkness to look more expressive maybe more interesting

As an fyi, typically the further away the object is, the lighter the darkest shadows are. This is because the atmosphere has particles and the further away it is, the more particles there are between you and the object
