i made what i thought was really pretty just to be told that "oh that's a 10 minute sketch" where it took me like 2 hours 😭

ive only practiced faces and a bit of the top of the torso (im starting body anatomy now though)

#

by any chance do you have tips for learning better color? i think i want to work on that next, its not something ive tried to specifically learn before

#

oh actually i have another question, what level am i in faces? like facial anatomy and stuff?

intermediate with faces and your coloring is pretty good. The 2nd piece is really cool with the effects . I cant really teach you color unless you want like layer effects. Color is more like messing around and see what looks nice. And judging from the 2nd piece you seem to already understand a bit on the topic. I will say the first one looks a bit unfinished compared to the 2nd one

Just practice practice and more practice unfortunately. More angles, more poses ,different lighting. The grind is a long one. I do recommend keeping a portfolio. I assume as a pro artist you want to sell artwork ? Your gonna want to build a online reputation to build a audience for the future to sell artwork. And a portfolio at hand in case you want to show off what you can do to potential clients , Oh and SIGN your work. always. big letters/small letters or hidden in the artwork but sign it so people know its you, But i can see you already did that

i figured i would post this one too, just in case anyone else sees. i think its my favorite face that ive done (the rest is obviously unfinished but i really like the face)

A video portfolio is fine too. YouTube is a great way to track your progress and show off. But keeping everything in a superate folder on the iPad works fine too. And album works fine too . You just need a way to easily show off artwork if needed
