I've been drawing for a long time, but until recently, I avoided certain aspects of drawing because I wasn't very good at them. Backgrounds, soft shading, dynamic poses, and more are not my strong suit at all. I drew characters, and that was it. I feel there's no better time to tackle those weaknesses than now! This is my most recent large drawing where I put skills I've learned from previous recent drawings to the test. Things can only go up from here! I tend to have some very strange ideas and designs, so chaos may be inbound.

Here are some other recent drawings I have done leading up to my most recent one. Soft shading and backgrounds are still extremely new to me, so I was still playing around with brushes and I notice a lot of things that could use improvement. These four drawings were still done with linework, which is a portion of art I've found I really don't like doing much anymore, but that led to backgrounds looking strange without any linework in them while the characters still did. I went through a couple of methods before finally just landing on removing lines entirely.
Dragons and birds are two of my favorite creatures, so I figured why not mix the two? This one is slightly inspired by my favorite bird the bearded vulture. The tail is taking a bit of work to figure out, though.
Dear Diary: I need to stop making such pretty designs that take HALF A MILLENIA TO DRAW
That's all for now, General
Tried my hand at lineless art, and I gotta say, as fun as it was, I wasn't a fan of the process
Drawing some OCs for other people to practice and work on my shading.
I like how I shaded here but I still feel it's not where I want it to be yet
Another OC I've drawn for someone else. I liked the shading process much more here but there's still a lot that's lacking. Namely I feel I made the shading too dark here and I couldn't really lighten it up after I started.
Your art is Soo good!
Thank you so much!
I'm sure your art is wonderful even if you don't think so
Thanks
Of course!
I usually just make Roblox drawings
I wanna do commissions but I cannot chat in the channel nor earn money
But maybe some day
I feel that. Funny enough that art I just posted was of someone's Roblox avatar, everyone starts somewhere. It takes time but you'll get to that point, I'm sure of it!
And I saw your art diary and your art is a great start! Not bad at all
Thanks!
Another drawing of someone else's character. While I am liking the shading here a bit better I still can't say it's the look I want for my art, so I'm gonna go back to the drawing board
One of my first larger projects. I have finally realized what I really want to draw most. Anything fantasy, creatures, enviornments, what have you, all of it. I don't seem to enjoy just drawing characters as much, so I think from now on I am going to work on that
My first drawing using Krita, far from my best but I'm still trying to get familiar with it
Forgive me lord for I have cooked
