i would like it to have more wavy hair at the ends but its really hard to draw, also its not finished yet!! i know the background looks like crap but i havent rendered it yet, i just needed a way to show where the lighting is coming from. i think the dress looks bad too and the anatomy might be off idk (im really bad with anatomy so it probably is) i also think the arm shading and the torso shading is really blocky because idk how to blend that well
this is the one from yesterday and i like the hair from that one more
honestly the hair is perfect, but from what I understand the light is coming from behind
so I think you could try the light hitting her back and reflecting off her hair
and I think it would be good to make the backlight stronger and a slight blur in the illuminated parts of the character
I did it a bit over the top as an example, but see what you think is best
and I think her dress is very light, she ends up losing focus because too much attention is paid to the clothes because they stand out due to their color
maybe just make it a little darker dress
She looks like an adult so her shoulder width should atleast fit 2 of her head
Female adult shoulder width by x of heads: 2-2.5
Male: 3
The end of her hair curls seems to go at the same direction
It makes it feel unnatural
Other than that she looks hella gorgeous(≧◡≦)💕
You seem to be still strugling with human proportions so i suggest you to do this when doing a sketch to check wether its proportionate or nah
For the first step of drawing it's pretty good , anyway details u will do at the end step be careful with light if u chose one or 2 u have to be sure u put light on surface based on that , u can't drop light where u want on face and others part , light need to have a logic
Nah
That isnt possible unless the source light is in her back
It should be like this, not like that
Hair is denser near the neck
hey guys i appreciate the tips and whatnot but i dont need help with the one from yesterday, i remade it for a reason and i only want advice on the new one 🫶🏼 the one with no background is the old one and idc what it looks like because i already remade it to be the new one
i can post the reference but the light is not that intense. i dont think it would make sense to have really big, bright lighting when its supposed to be more dull. i do think some light should shine through the back of her hair, but she does have very dark hair so it shouldnt be at much as someone with blonde hair for example
obviously its not exactly the same since she isnt yknow red but as you can see the light is not intense enough nor at the right spot to have super intense lighting. i honestly might have pushed it too far in my drawing
thank you, but i dont want help with this one. only the new one please, i remade it for a reason 🫶🏼 if the shoulders are off in the new one, let me know!
i appreciate the help but i really dont care about the old one anymore, i would only like feedback on the new one since i remade it for a reason 🫶🏼 if the shoulders are wrong on the new i would appreciate if you could draw over that one instead since i wouldnt be able to see based on this one
thank you! i've posted the reference if you want to take a look and tell me which areas i forgot to light correctly
i dont think the light is quite so intense, but im not the best judge so i posted a reference. the light seems pretty distant and dull. i also have to figure out how to add golden light to blue hair, since warm light is kind of hard (for me) on cool colored hair
thank you so much!!! ill try to darken the dress with multiply but i think i might keep the background more desaturated minus the lights idk
guess now u are overthinking about all the stuff, better try to do all the stuff by yourself , just any time u try to do a shadow or light or form , ask u if the light can hit like that or not, or where is the light source , just keep ur way ,understanding of everything come with practice . Also keep in minde art is for pleasure not for making u feel bad , also a thing experiment by yourslf , and when u ask for help keep in minde any of us can have diferent view , art is art someone like someone not 😄 picaso proved isnt allways based on realism and all the phisyc behinde 😄 ( i did a rq sketch about the lightning all the human shapes is based on sphere and cylinder so shadow and light has to be based on that, reflection refraction etc .)
that's what I said
