If it's windy, add details in the wind of snow or small debris, ask yourself where is the wind coming from too to know where to add details (note I do not have snow where I am, but from what I have observed before, it's something to take into consideration with any type of storm)

hey i think what could help you is actually the composition of the painting. If you observe in nature paths are rarely ever perfectly straight if at all. so maybe try introducing some bends into your path
