hii! i need some help w my lighting. i feel like it’s not very convincing. also, if anyone has bg ideas pls help me out. i’m kinda struggling in general so also lmk if anything else looks off. @ me pls!!

the lighting on the face, hair, fur, and right (to us) arm looks like it's coming from below
while the left hand, neck, and chest are lit from above
I'd say determine the light source and tweak as needed

as for the background, do you aim to draw a more detailed or simplistic one?

@reef sky it looks rly good!! I'd suggest maybe adding a multiply layer over top of everything and just adding in hard shadow over your character. I'd also suggest finding a reference for face planes so you know where to shade 😉 looks great though!
