I’ve reached a p pint where idk how to move forward with my art with backgrounds etc. can anyone tell me what I can improve to make it look more professional?

The light on him doesn't feel natural, as in it doesn't feel as though it's a result of the foliage and considering how many light sources he has on him the overall background is quite gloomy. The entrance of the grove(?) also feels far too bright relative to the tones of the area

#

The background itself is great, the colouring could use some work

Is there a way I could try to work on my colour theory for things like these?

put more details on the important parts and lesser details on the unimportant parts 😄 in this case you have a lot of noise in the image and the eye wont focus on the figur but at everything else

hmm the values. if you look at the picture in greyscale everything looks kinda the same

#

i think the brush you use is mostly a texture brush? i would use this one at the end if you need some more noise in the pic

#

also you can play around with overlay and multiply layers 😄

#

now the values are a bit better and the focus is the person. i also removed the opening in the back

#

but i reaaaallly like the drawing! super cool atmosphere

Values should probably be my next focus
