Thats how the hand looked in the reference, but i could try changing it just in case
Huh, maybe I’ve got it wrong, because when it try and pose my hand that way, my thumb just doesn’t reach
Ohhh it’s flipped, there’s nothing wrong
Besides that, I think there is some leftover half-erased lines in the hair
I mean i did exaggerate the thumb quite a bit so that could be why it looks weird, I’ll definitely fix it
Wow, this is a great drawing so far! The colors and value look lovely. You might could push the shadows, but that's up to you. Your use of bounce light is also really satisfying to look at
One thing I did notice is that the right shoulder (her right) seems to jut out a bit more that I feel like would be accurate, but the reference has the shoulder covered up, so I'm not absolutely certain.
Other than tbat point, I like the stylization of the anatomy, and the expression is very, well, expressive haha
Thank you! Her shoulder does seem more awkward than I intended
Also what do you mean by pushing the shadows?
the only thing i’ve got for ya is to just try to differentiate between the skin and hair through shading once you render, since they blend in quite a lot. the hair especially is getting lost around the shoulders. same with the color of the hand and the tray her cake is on. otherwise, you’re doing so great, dude!
By pushing the shadows, i mean adding depth with deeper, starker shadows :)
But I feel like the value you have now is just fine, frankly.
You need to pay attention to where will be getting even less light than simple shadows. For example armpits. In the current pose, they get significantly less light than on the arm
I find this so cuteee plz post the finished one here I need to see this in its ultimate form
