Bump
Bump again
That's what I have rn but it still looks weird
Anyone?
i can help
just gotta conform the hand to the shape of the torso a bit more and make the palm a bit larger. Also the thumb would likely not be seen in that perspective but if you did want to add the thumb then start it closer to the bend of the wrist.
I also thought i'd mention the line showing where the left arm meets his torso- when the arm is raised it follows the shape of the chest, which means it goes down rather than up. I've got that in red as well :)
hopefully that's helpful?
Yeah I was struggling with the arm because on the reference the guy has black top on a black couch so all I could see is just black spot
It is thank you
Also maybe you're able to tell me if the neck and collarbones look alright?
Maybe something like this?
In that angle the knuckle nearest to the viewer would be the lowest, and the other knuckles follow that direction. The palm should also be a bit more rounded.
A few tips when drawing hands
- when the hand is stretched out it should be about the size of your characters face
- the distance of the knuckle and the first finger joint should be about the same distance as the first knuckle is to the fingertip (lmk if you want me to clarify that)
- the base of the index, middle and pointer finger is about the same width as the wrist (though I think you’ve done that pretty well!)
- its best to think of the thumb as a rectangle and trapezoid shape
- using a mirror to reference your own hands can be very helpful
The collarbone should generally follow the deltoid
Ty I'll try to do that
Honestly I think I did the anatomy so wrong in here
