i am asking cuz i am very deeply in love with this manga's art style, i adore it so fcking much and wanted to draw more like it but i can't draw it cuz i am stupid

Do you have an example on how "in depth" you wanted to shade it?

I dont have a specific style of shading in my mind, i was just wanting to know how would someone shade this, because like, the faces in a head shapenlike that dont match exactly a human head, so idk how that would look, and the methods i've been usar ng are giving very not good results

This is `what I would do.
I would first look up videos on how to draw anime. Those videos don't have to be the exact style that you are going for, it's just good to get the grasp of how anime is drawn. Practice practice. If the YouTuber gives you tasks on how to practice, I would do them.
Then if you are wanting to replicate this artist’s way of rendering, I would study how they render. How the place shadows, and the light. Take the drawing and copy it to understand how they render. But if you haven't learned the basic fundamentals of art, you won't understand it what you are doing as well. At least try to understand how lighting and shadow work irl

Because anime is obviously based off of irl so some rules have to apply

i don't really like following anime tutorials from yt because they usually simlpify stuff so much the tips are useless, the usual "Step one, two... skip a few... Done" kinda stuff
