Best character also rendering is like wired to explain everyone kinda dose it differently I think u have a good start for me I’ve started to add more soft edges to my skin and a few more tones of the face I.e the redder mid section blue bottom section I think u know the planes of the face well enough so imma stop yappin and let u cook

Also I think the shadows are well defined however you should also darken some parts according to the planes of the face

Might wanna remove that shadow from under the eye because it's too much on the right side and that's where the light is coming from

Mostly the whole face would be lit then add a drop shadow for the nose and shadow at the corners of the left side of the face

There would be shadow under the lip but not on the chin

Doesn't have to be that much 😭 also you're struggling with the clothes because you haven't drawn his body . Once you're done with the body putting on clothes becomes way easier
