Greetings, I'm primarily a writer, but I would like to create the illustrations to my story. I'm in the market for a pen display and id greatly appreciate some guidance from an experienced veteran in the digital art field. What tablet do you find yourself going back to after stepping out of your comfort zone? What is your ol' reliable? My budget is around 500-600. Thanks for reading!

That’s good to know, no one’s really presented any alternatives thus far. As of now the huion is at the top, my deadline is tmw. There’s some memorial day coupons going around, so 20% off is hard to beat.

Personally i think 16” is more than enough. It sounds not all that big, but its big. 24” and bigger is just overkill for starting out. Later as you get more experience and a better understanding of what you need in a tablet, then you can think about getting a bigger tablet. At first, dont do 24” inchPomPom_Cry

Id even argue that 16” is a bit big for starting as well

i've personally used the same wacom intuos pro M since 2017, I briefly had a huion (iirc it was the kamvas pro 22), and now also have an intuos5 touch from a family friend but I always find myself going back to my old 2017 intuos pro, the drawback is that it is a screenless tablet so there may be a bit of getting used to and it definitely isn't a fit for everyone

I learned how to draw on an old ipad pro (2018), and I did try a wacom tablet, but, I just couldn’t get comfortable with it. I’d really rather have that visual stimuli response as i’m drawing.
