I don't know how to draw hairs and I've been watching yt vids but it's not turning out as I wanted it to be

Hair is going to be raised above the skull. Also, keep in mind the direction that it is going. If it’s pulled back, the strands are going to flow to a singular point

Sketch the basic shape of the hair first, and think of it as one whole collective, instead of individual pieces
