Hi im mogus, started drawing 1 week ago and been practicing every day until now (and planning to continue to do so). My goal is being able to achieve the peak of expression. Hope everyone will help me become a better artist but also a better person if happens. These are the things I've done until now

Right now I'm doing perspective exercises and I wanted to ask some feedback about this one (drew out of my imagination). What's wrong with this? I feel like there are some errors, am I respecting the horizon line or the vanishing points?

Better? (don't mind the bad boxes).

I recommend starting out with one point perspective. Ik its tempting to go all in but you cant do a spin dribble in basketball when you can barely do a basic dribble with one hand

#

Plus none of your vanishing points line up. Youre clearly making guesses rather than doing deliberate vanishing points

My biggest recommendation is to stop with the heavily stylization if youre still just learning, its better to work with semi realistic proportions for perspective, then as you learn that you can learn where its okay and not okay to bend the rules of reality and create style from there.

I know my art looked bad until i started working on more realistic proportions, now i can get away with more cartoony things because i know where its aesthetically pleasing to manipulate bodies vs where it just looks uncanny

To then move on anatomy

Am I supposed to make exercises like that without the usage of a ruler?

Like i mentioned earlier, start with one point perspective. Two point perspective build on one point perspective principles, and you definitely should not try to do three or four point perspective for a long while if at all
