I've always wanted to learn how to draw a landscape - it always bring life to drawings
I think i am decent at drawing and rendering characters and I am getting tired from just putting plane color behind theme
Any tips on where that start my study? Maybe some useful sources? Brushes would also be very welcome (for clip studio paint)

I think you should always have the mentality of illusion of details

#

This piece has a decent landscape, but look closely and see its just shitty brush strokes

#

You should also learn alot of composition

#

It helps alot with planning on what the background looks like

So I don't know if it works the same when it comes to landscaping

#

There is a whole lot more of detailes then what I am used to

Big brushes always help

Start with the big important shapes. Save the smaller details for the VERY end

I prefer backgrounds with retro vibes anyway 👅

#

Knowing the flow of the landscape is also important

I love the vibrant colors oh my god

slender orchid
#

Its also good to Contrast the subject and the background

#

Outlining it also helps

Like I mention in the title, mostly I just put plane colour on he background and if I feel risky I add some geometrical shapes lol
