im no pro so take what I say with some salt. The expression also feels disconnected? a bit. like the mouth doesn't quite look like its matching the expression of the eyes making it seem not as dramatic as it feels its trying to be. (could be wrong. just what I feel looking at it)
Yeah I can see that!
I wish I had your level of color rendering though thats for sure
also for how quick the hair seems to be blowing is there wind or is she rushing. if so the clothes feel very still compared to it
ooh true, the overalls are pretty fitted but i could definitely add more movement to the scarf
definitely with the scarf some movement would tell more about the situation. if theres a lot of wind and i dont know if thats snow making some kicking up of snow could tell how windy it is.
Its a river! i can send a screenshot of the full image in a second
that would be great. couldn't tell if it was snow or a river. (I am colorblind so i could be seeing it wrong)
lol
Haha no worries it does look like snow zoomed in like that
how long did it take you to do this? im still trying to improve but I always get stuck at the line art. (I made a post on here about line art)
Its been spread out over a couple days, but i'd estimate i've spent about 10 hours on it so far?
And i actually dont do lineart hehe, i hate doing it ajklahjvghkja
I go straight from sketch to rendering
Id love to learn how to do that but its rather daughting and dont even know where to start when it comes to rendering
still trying to learn values as i learned thats more important than the color itself
100%
Only recently have i started paying attention to values and its a huge thing a lot of people overlook
And if you'd like i can send you the tutorial i learned rendering from back in the day haha
that would be great too! thank you
heres something that ive been working on and ive already been working on this for 4 hours. feels so long to be working on the line art this long.
It does say skin but honestly the process can be applied to everything
Oof yeah, lineart is such a time sink, especially with more detailed stuff
It looks good!
I like rendering though, because its a lot easier to imply detail rather than drawing it all individually
When you're zoomed out and looking at the illustration as a whole, its best to basically fake the details instead of actually drawing them haha
My biggest poblem with digital art is figuring out the brushes and line weight. I haven't found a brush I love. I just dont like the lines on the arms as that was how the whole thing looked.
I use Krita for my program
Thats fair, I think stuff like that just takes time
lots of brushes but I hate most of them
Lol yeah, the brushes that come with programs usually arent very good
Not sure if krita can import photoshop brushes, but I can send mine if it can
