what this composition lacks is depth, story, and focus
-
separate your two subjects, put the statue to the right (purely bcoz the head direction) and the robed person to the left
-
dont be afraid to use extremely dark tones, separate the foreground, midground and background in rising/decline of brightness
- use composition tricks such Fibonaccis Spiral, Rule of Thirds, Leading Lines etc
give me a bit ill give an example
oke
i liked the idea of a mysterious person going somewhere unknown, so i just made a simple story where theres a bunch of them seemingly attracted to this statue
easiest way to create depth is to just introduce 3 distinctly different values, titled Foreground, Middleground and Background
part of why a composition works well is how instantly a viewer can understand it, so sillhouettes are key
your best friend in composition is going to be the Rule of Thirds, it is in every single good composition
it does not need to be perfectly in the intersecting lines, but placing subjects near there somehow tricks the brain into thinking "i will look here"
I feel like I should've showed you the sketch lines aswell so you knew more about what my idea was, but this is a nice critique to receive, thanks!
i changed the whole thing because i didnt like the first one
