It looks a bit sloppy, partly because everything is so thick. If you’re limited with brush sizes then I totally understand, but it lacks delicacy.
For example, the cherry blossoms in the background: their branches wouldn’t nearly be that thick. They’d be super thin and intricate. I think the railing on the building could be made of thinner bars, the edges of the roof could be sharper, and the thick diamond-shaped stars are a little big and distracting. Also since this scene is at night, the color of those cherry blossoms wouldn’t be a bright pink like that, unless there’s a super bright light source nearby. Even with the moonlight, they wouldn’t be that bright
The method you used to make the blossom trees detailed is the most effective when you use it sparingly. Doing it for the whole tree makes them too distracting because of the repeated texture. It has more detail than your main subject (which I assume is the building), and it should be the other way around
Thank you for responding!
I will try and thin the tress and maybe add light to the hanging circular lanterns which I haven't done yet, I might have to color the building in a dark shade but not completely like a shadow it definitely takes away the focus from the building and more on the background. I actually didn't like the idea of adding the big stars but It would definitely help shrinking them down, might darken the moon mostly half because it was only meant to be a crescent moon
I willl keep the tree part in mind when I consider making another painting including trees
Again, thank you for the suggestion! I will post an update tomorrow when I get back to it
Update
It still looks weird, and I've changed a few bits there. But overall any comments? 😭 I'm starting to give up on this project
Dammm those trees look so good now, they look so delicate. Very pretty 😮
This painting is sick
Love it
Been trying to make an ongoing document for an art project, once I submit a documentI can't seem to edit it after or resubmit in another area. I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me how to do that. I have been trying to figure it out for quite some time now
Should I lowk continue dis:(
Hello to anyone reading this, was recently working on an art project for school and this is about mixed media so I could literallyadd anything to it. So far this is what I've ended up with, any suggestions to add? Would love to hear them!
