this looks good! breaking the hair down into sections that go all the way to the root (or to where they are covered by other sections) will help you. once you have those sections you can treat them like simple shapes (i think of them as strips of thick paper) and shade like you would any other simple shape

okay im trying this, im a bit confused about the light source and stuff, so after i did the shading in the first image it didn’t make sense to me so i changed it, which is the second image I haven’t cleaned up yet, but o think the second might be better? im still a bit lost

damn just to be real i think its already good, if youd like u can add an even deeper colour in the hair parting areas, but i wouldnt add too much detail else everything else would look out of place
