How to make the pose look better?

I feel like the hands usually overlap over eachother when choking someone. In your art it looks like the thumbs are pressing into the middle of the neck

Also adding some detail in the hands could work, like a vein or more aggressive features that makes it look as if the attacker is putting a lot of force into it

The hands and thumbs need to wrap around form of the neck

Maybe change the expression if it's not that important, at the moment the figure just look mildly annoyed about being strangled, hoping to get it over soon.
