#Critique the coloring

these are flats so theres not much to critique???? ig the critique would be to add lighting and shadows lol
you got p good color harmony already with mainly being sticking to one hue
It wasn't meant to be flat
I did put shadows and stuff so ig they weren't enhanced enough
Lol then thatll be my critique. Have more contrast in ur shadows and lighting cuz i aint seeing it. Block it oit with a hard brush first so u dont risk overblending it. Im assuming u did here cuz it became too soft to notice
For shade take a look at this : (image) basiclly dnt add black for shade the color..
❎ : Bleu > Dark blue
✅ : Bleu > Dark purple
idunno if u understand what i mean
Ohh these look really good! I agree that you have good color harmony but I definitely would suggest pushing your shadows and pulling your highlights. Don't be afraid of contrast 😉 I'd also suggest to shift the hue a little bit as you shade (I can explain more about this if you have questions). You also might look into blending modes as it makes the shading process much easier. I'm also happy to explain this to you if you want. My DMs are always open if you have any questions or want a draw over. Good luck!
I did this super quick but I very roughly threw shadows and some highlights on this (hope that's ok) but this is just an example of how dark you could go. You can even push some shadows more but I just did it fast. Hope this helps a bit XD
Thank all of you for the help!!!!!!! I appreciate it so much
Dunno if it's can help, but like,
dnt be afraid to change the color of shade & lightning
For purple doin pink as light and dark blue as shade is more colorful and less dull than using black purple and light purple
Oooh this is so helpful
Thank-you!!!!!
Update
I drew this and I think the coloring is better! Maybe not perfect or great but improvement is always nice
try using a HARD brush for shadows
like if ur tryna learn shadows just leave the airbrush alone for a while
Good idea, I actually did use a hard brush I just blurred it to make it less harsh
I'll keep that in mind, thanks!
yeah but make sure ur blurring with INTENTION, blurred shading only happens on soft edges, compared to harder/cast shadows like the shadow the head casts on the neck, or if the surface of the object doesnt face the light
might sound confusing but you could try just not blurring for a while and see how it turns out
and its easier to critique then too, cuz then people know where you're actually placing ur shadows and help you from there
