I've been struggling to to come up with a good character design for my character(s). Their names are Ciel and Sora. The are dolls/ puppets wearing jester clothes. I want them to have a creepy, mischievous vibe to them. Ciel is the one smiling and Sora is the one frowning. This is my first time doing a drawing of them and they just seem off. I've tried coloring them, but to no avail. They still look off.

I would like yalls help to fix them. I want to them look identical and androgynous. Any kind of help, that being physically tweeking the drawing to add your ideas or giving CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM would be much appreciated. 😗

They look good! Just color them, I would suggest Ciel in a lighter color pallet while Sora has a darker, to clash with each other but also go together, like water and fire, or light and dark

Maybe do purple/lemon with Ciel and Blue/lime with Sora (or the other way around)

Also about the “looking off” part, I think it might have something to do with how the jester cap looks, maybe pull it back a little?

I suggest making the shapes more obvious. A bit part of the jester outfit it to have the clothes make fun and exaggerated shapes such as making very baggy and puffy pants, or having the neck accessory stick out more
