Ok, but idk if i improved or not, i have this fear about not improving thats why i asked
You have improved. I can see some. But its very subtle. Sometimes it takes a long while brfore you see any noticeable improvement on your end
K
Also sorry about this i just felt like i didnt improve
I hear your frustration, and I totally get it. It's so frustrating to feel like you've done all this work and maybe it's for nothing. At the same time, I also agree you've improved. For sure. I see more volume and gesture in the newer piece. And I also agree that 5 months is a short time to see improvement in your own work. Maybe check out your work from a year or two ago. And keep going!
Thanks, also the fear i had Is that i have hit my limit and couldnt improve anymore, so thats why
Ah, that totally makes sense! That's a scary and frustrating feeling. It's also not really the case. The best thing and the most frustrating thing about art is that there's always more to learn, more room to improve. I really do see improvement in your work, and also understand it's hard for you to see—and that's frustrating! There's a saying that's corny but I think is important for learning art: "Success is getting up just one more time than you're knocked down". How you deal with frustration and fear and any kind of bad feeling—that's all part of learning art, along with all the technical stuff. Just keep going!
something i like to say is that each drawing should be a learning experience. theres always more you can learn and improve on
Well, it's a tougher pose on the right too. I reckon you've improved, but it doesn't mean you can't improve more :)
It can help to take it now to exactly pinpoint what things you can improve specifically.
Also, art takes time. Any skill takes a LOT Of time to improve. It took me a couple years to get to an okay level. You just have to keep drawing and have fun learning
Alright
Tell me what i improved from the colored drawing
And what i Need to improve
Thanks bro, its Just that many times i couldn't improve in other things other than art, so i was scared i hit the limit here
It would be helpful
Feel like you have a bit more bolume and that your limbs have a bit more gesture in it.
I’d also say that you’re comparing what looks like a longer drawing with something that you did quickly.
Things you could do is improve your gestures more with yt vids. Also trying to redraw references that have a nice pose.
I’d also say do some specific studies on Arms, Legs and Torsos. Just spend a couple hours trying to learn how the upper leg interlocks yo the bottom leg. Where the bumps on the arm is, and how you can twist the torso.
Each of these I tend to watch a video, draw from reference, then draw without ref.
