with how the light hits, itd also affect the side of the righ cheek, the lips, nose, and eyes. you only have it mostly affecting the bigger bits of the face rn
how'd you do that
you just made it 50 times better
i love it
i just found this tool
and for the hair, a little bit of light would reach the left braid. youd also want to darken some of the shadows of the of the side where the light hits cuz the hair would cast shadows on itself
and i just realized how wrong my lighting was
and the inside whre the parting is
aa noted
went over with a multiply layer and added in the needed shadows. then an a layer adding in the lighting on normal. and an overlay layer with an orange where the shadow and reg colors meet cuz of how skin interacts with light
i feel like your brush strokes have so much texture as well
yeah i use a textured brush
i see
so i was doing okay, but i just need to push it that extra mile of adding cast shadows and defining the planes of the face
yeah
youre doing fine. all proportions looks good to me
cuz i see on the one you did, you have more definition around the nose area
and you left some of the right collar bone get some light as well
makes sense now that i think about it, its funny because i didnt have a reference to draw from
i only looked for a reference for the hair
i had the lighting in mind, maybe i should have found a reference similar to my drawing
lolol i didn't either so i may have missed out on on key muscles/planes too. keep working on it and itll be all good
np
i tried
but your oil painty look, looks way better
looks good
only thing flesh out more is the hair. the transition from light to dark on the left side is a bit too harsh/sharp
with how hair overlap with itself, thered be parts where light hits more than others
and have more of a zig zag kind of transition
