I tried drawing a gnome like my friend suggested, and I used some brand new paper (Bienfang 360) and nothing is blending out 😭
All of the strokes are so visible and i thought i had a good idea of how to blend markers but it’s just so different from mixed media/heavy paper. I need tips please

Its possible its the paper. Theres also the possibility that you waited too long and the marker dried by the time you put the marker down again. Alcohol markers are a very fast drying medium

Yeah i’m convinced it’s the paper at this point because i redid it in one of my sketchbooks (still not great lol) and it doesnt have visible strokes. but it makes me disappointed since it’s supposed to be high quality paper
probably also not blending it fast enough but i cant think that fast when doing art 💀

Hm. Well also to effectively blend you should do the lighter color, darker, then back to the lighter color. Make sure youre doing it while the strokes are still wet

I use ohuhu paper and it works really well for me
