What method are you using to make this? If youre just pulling an orb and calling it good thats a really bad way to go about it. Have you been following any tutorials on modeling faces?
im not just pulling an orb, blocked out the body parts first with subdivsion then applied it, joined all objecs, and remeshed and gave it multiresolution, yes i have watched tutorial but can seam to get it, i mostly use use clay stripes, crease, sharp, inflate and smooth and all of these also inverted. They body looks fine imp its just the face i have difficulty with.
Ok is this actually blender or some other modeling software?
yes this is actually blender u can see it top left
What tutorials have you tried following?
Suggest you look at proportions and planes first. All the larger shapes. You'll find plenty of resources from a Google search.
You could do the same for your body anatomy.
I think you're trying to leap into detailing before getting the basics right. It sounds boring but it pays off.
I recommend to give this a watch before you do character models. It helps explain things everyone should know about character modeling. https://youtu.be/zXm-mYeApQQ?si=Bqw9zCZf_3CqxEAw

It seems to me you dove into details way too soon. Plus not even doing concept sketches first
ok thank u, do u think its smart to start over with the sculpting?
yea i dont do concept sketches bcs im not a 2D artist really, or atleast not aiming for that, i know its faster doing concept sketches but i will not stick to the final anyway
thanks for the video i will check it out
Trust me. Do concept sketches. Youre just winging it. All of the 3D artists learn to draw in 2D as well because they need to have a set plan. None of your favorite games movies or shows just winged the character designs in their 3D program
Well uhm my teacher and the workers at my intern dont 2D sketch, i will still try it out to see if the work flow improves but it wont be right in atonomy, for the base of the 3D model i have now i used a free template from the internet
Youre a beginner tho. They are definitely not and have been doing this for a long time. I really recommend to sketch out what youre doing first and not just hope itll turn out alright. Also tbh the template models i really dont recommend for anyone to use. If you make the template yourself for ease of your process, sure. But using someone else’s i just dont recommend because their process is not going to look the same as yours
Haha yea thats true, i will try to make a sketch soon, the reason i used someones elses template is more because i want to learn how to model not how to draw socwanted to skip that part, and i know big tv shows/games also sketch before hand but sketching and modelling is most of the time not made by the same person
Even if its done by a different person they still need to have drawings of the characters otherwise theyre gonna have it not look how its supposed to. When an indie comic artist is drawing the characters, yeah they may be the only one drawing the character but theyre gonna still should have a reference sheet so they keep the character consistent
If you don't like 2D sketching, do it in sculpts.
Try 5 minute, 15 minute, 30 minute sculpts. Take what you learn forward without being precious.
