OK let's start, the first point to remember is that you're sketching a stylistic and non realistic character, but you're also giving it the credit of a real person, resulting in unexpected results and a confused look,
I other words the anatomy you have drawn is just like the artwork (imo) but you're critiquing it with the responsibilities of a realism piece,
2 the eyes are fine, but I'd suggest looking more into the shading, instead of 1 layer of shading maybe do 2 layers for the midtones, and 3 layers for the dark darks.

About the shading - this is just the outline of the actual piece. I do plan to fully shade it after i make sure the anatomy is good.
