I got some critique here a while back, and wanted to know how I'm doing now. Here's some are from a recent fanart collection, which I feel is better for sure, but definitely not perfect. Where would you say the problem area is now?
(Sorry I didn't ping you sooner @misty drift , I didn't feel I improved enough till now)
#Noticable improvement, but still not perfect

no worries, I'll get back to you once im free to have a proper look!
@strong beacon you've improved a ton, fantastic work! I don't entirely remember how your work looked the last time, but I can definitely not that you've gotten better at dynamics and coloring. As for proceeding advice, I'd target lighting most. You tend to do lighting and glow just using an airbrush, but giving little consideration to how the glow affects curves and shapes surrounding it
these are two examples
you've given it some attention, but you should keep in mind how hard edges surfaces cut light instead of giving a soft all-round glow
Here are some rough examples how you could correct it
Incorporating hard lighting ontop of your hard shadows will go very well with your style!
this is battle network inspired, nice
Thanks for the critique! My brother actually pointed out the exact same thing, only he suggested I ditch the glow for fully flat stylized cartoon lighting, but I like this solution better. Thanks for this, you got me just in time before my next public art post, so I'll in incorporate what you've shown me
Star Force actually, and thanks
i know, omega xis, i simply put the whole saga together
Fair, same timeline and all
