Ok so i'm gonna give it to my friend because she loves mean girls and I'm a good friend but after I painted The Notebook with acrylics, for the sketches I used a sharpie and after i letted it dry i went to put a protective layer (İDK the name for it the liquid u put so it doesnt get injured) but when i did it the sharpie fell apart. So i am asking if i can use hairspray instead of the luqid for a notebook since it is used for charcoal etc. (İf yes im gonna remake it)

I think where you went wrong is this is not water based. If its water based it wont smudge the sharpie but if isnt then it will because it has harsher chemicals

Ohhhh ok tysm!! But so a water based primer works? Or can I also use hairspray

Hairspray has harsh chemicals going on and may cause the sharpie to bleed out. It is water based but theres definitely more going on with it. Id test it out on a seperate paper before you do it on the actual thing

you could try pva glue mixed with water, but try it on a separate piece of paper first just in case
