i watched someone document their art progress until they reached 10k hours and became inspired to do the same.
it's obvious that my starting point is not purely from the very beginning, but i would like to see how far my skill can be with an additional 10k hours. for every tracked time in my tracking app i will update here.
i will leave some notes of the small little things i've learned in hopes that those reading can also learn something new!

Took a little bit more time. I realized that patience is key when making neat brushstrokes, having more control over hard and soft edge. Experimented with hue in the highlight

For brushes:
If you're using procreate it's one of the brushes that they provide you to begin with, it's called "nikko roll". You can find it in the "paint" section. If you're not using procreate you can simply find another brush that has texture to it
I also use a default round brush for this, with opacity jitter turned on (meaning the opacity will change according to how much pressure I put on the pencil). You can pretty much find this brush in every app/software you use.

I do have procreate and I have some problems with the pressure and opacity but I think it's because that my stylus isn't an original one

it will certainly be much more difficult then. but still doable by manually + constantly changing the colors to replace what the opacity jitter does. i did an experiment myself doing a study with only 100% opacity brush and it works just as good (or even better imo)
