i mean i know ur lazy abt the highlights but you could do very simple cell lighting
like
can i retouch your artworks to show my idea?
A bit of a change but I think it be cool if you added a "add" layer and airbrushed in some more light
And maybe add a vignette to the whole piece
sure x)
okay nvm i didnt managed to do the example corrctly, we have complete different color palette lol. But, just do like cell shading, but, highlight. Its very easy and wont take long.
sighs* oki..
The shirt and the skin are kind of similar in color and value :0
Maybe darkening the shirt to a more brownish color could help
The highlight on the collar of the shirt intersects with the "A" is a weird way making it less legible from further away (plus the tangent with the end point of the highlight and the horizontal bar on the "A" kinda catches the eye)
Another thing is that the entire piece is really yellowish which makes the skin a bit too pink if that makes sense haha :)
Oh and the ear is slightly too long, should be level with the end of the nose and eyebrow :D
Okiiii TYSM
DARK RISE MENTIONED 🔥🔥 will looks so cool!
maybe bezel or emboss the text to make it a bit more readable especially the A.
one side of the light seems to have a hard edge to it while the other is a soft edge maybe make those consistent to make it look more uniform to the eye if there is not a reason for that. and i know the background is intentionally dark but possibly increase its blue saturation to make the yellow a bit less dominating.
Why is the yellow dominating a problem? Increasing the saturation of blue might make it appear less dark and moody
you can increase the amount of blue that shows through the yellow without brightening the peice up too much tbh. if anything the contrast of a dark but saturated blue behind all the warm yellows and neutral browns will make the rest of the image elements stand out to the eye. its not absolutely needed just an option that plays into the contrasting colors already being used to make elements pop more.
