Anything look weird

swift nest
#

The foreheads a bit uneven, to me the facial features sit a bit too high up in the face. The bangs going into his bun are very jagged. The irises appears to go over the eyes lineart and the highlights look a bit uneven. Ruoye clings to close to the neck, add a little space with additional lineart.

spark slate
#

This was my reference

#

Is this any better?

#

Ruoye is still kinda tight on his neck in the reference so idk

swift nest
#

layered them on top of eachother, the forehead of the original is much higher and the head proportions a bit larger.

spark slate
#

Ooh I see

#

Ty

swift nest
#

as for rouye, it's just a recomendation to make it more lively

spark slate
#

I see

swift nest
#

How I drew rouye back a few years ago.

spark slate
#

I originally drew him more close to the reference, but I didn't know how to feel about it

spark slate
#

Wait stop

#

Your art is amazing

#

And you are into tgcf

#

This is too much

swift nest
#

Haha, thank you 🥰 yes I love mxtx's works

They're glorious

#

Nah can I friend you

swift nest
#

Thank yooou 🤭 Yesss, ofcourse

spark slate
#

I drew this wip of nie huaisang yesterday

#

It's a bit odd proportion wise

#

I was kinda experimenting ig

#

But how is it?

swift nest
#

Oh, it pretty good! Just the ear that needs some adjustment and the head that needs to shrink a bit

spark slate
#

And while I'm here I might as well just drop these

swift nest
#

Niceee! 😍

gritty crow
#

I would help but I'm at a similar level in art

#

Lol

gritty crow
spark slate
#

Can someone give critique on this

#

I'm fixing old drawings of mine

gritty crow
#

The neck is too thin and shoulders are too sharp

spark slate
#

This is the og btw

spark slate
gritty crow
spark slate
#

Yeah lol haha

#

That one was November 2023

swift nest
#

Adding my facial proportion guide. The neck is very skinny and the shoulders very sharp+ the collar bone a bit misplaced.

spark slate
#

Is this any better?

gritty crow
spark slate
#

Great :> thanks for the help

gritty crow
#

Btw this is a trapezius muscle, the shoulder is a bit below than that unlike a straight line, depending on how muscular they are this width can change. But for xianle look at the trapezius you can see it probably

#

Okay I drew it a bit wrong, its more like this

spark slate
#

OH WAIT— I see what I did wrong

#

Uh— can you critique this old ass drawing so I can fix it?

#

Other than the obvious, skinny neck, weird eyes and shoulders

#

Also how do you draw soup

spark slate
swift nest
spark slate
#

Yeah I thought the same thing lol

#

To be fair I drew it like 9 months ago hahah

#

In terms of folds for the clothes, do you know how it should look ?

gritty crow
#

Yours is curving

#

And the other is straight

swift nest
swift nest
spark slate
#

Man idk how you find these references lol

#

It's so hard for me

#

I get the shittiest ones I swear

swift nest
#

im a master at finding references 😂

spark slate
#

It's not clean, but lemme know if there's more to fix

swift nest
#

the bone anatomy would look more like this

spark slate
#

Ooh I see

spark slate
#

Someone help me on this windmaster drawing pls

#

This was ref

#

Idk if this is better

swift nest
#

Lower the winking eye a tad, when winking, the lid sits about in the middle of an open eye, yours look level to the upper lid of the other eye.
The nose shadow looks a lot more like powerful philtrum shadow. Tilt the mouth a bit to the left.

gritty crow
# spark slate This was ref

Make the left eye more left, the whole head is too skinny especially the jawline the bottom eyelid of left eye is different and rotate the nose to the right

spark slate
#

Ooh I see ty

spark slate
#

Does anything look off?

swift nest
# spark slate

Overall, looks pretty good! I'd say the nose's a bit high.

spark slate
#

This?

spark slate
spark slate
dim wolf
#

I think the mapping on the head and hair is needed

spark slate
#

What do you mean by that?

dim wolf
#

Meaning when you draw people's heads you must know about the Heads guide guidelines and fundamentals

#

like here you see the characters have different hairlines. The anime character you using has that too

spark slate
swift nest
#

The head looks a bit large on this one in comparasion the body.
Not sure if hes meant to be tilting his head down a lot.
A key rule for eyes is to keep them the same size but angle the one further away a bit more in semi 3/4 perspective. I'd also lower the nose a smidge.

dim wolf
#

This is the mapping the head guidelines

spark slate
swift nest
# spark slate

Hey, looking pretty good! Just the eyes are a bit uneven sizewise and the ear should be a smidge longer.
Ears sit roughly between the bottom of the nose to the eyebrows, proportion wise.

spark slate
#

Ohhh I see

#

I always get ears messed up lol

swift nest
spark slate
#

Yeah

#

Thanks for the advice!

dim wolf
#

There also different way to draw lips too

#

When you draw Hair the head is divided into 3 section

#

Depending what kind of style of hair and where the roots is coming from

#

Also practice the end of hair sometimes they by 2 and 1

#

2 will be thin and one will thick

spark slate
#

A bit out of practice for trad

swift nest
spark slate
#

Ohh I see

#

I know the eyes are asymmetrical

swift nest
# spark slate

I'd lower the nose a tad here too and the hairline is a bit too high. . Good thing you noticed the eyes, they are a bit assymetrical and also a bit too far appart! to me personally the neck feels a bit skinny and perhaps a smidge too long.

spark slate
#

This isn't a very recent drawing (about 2 months ago)

Can someone help with overall design lol

#

Like colour, hairstyle, clothes

#

Kinda at a loss

spark slate
#

How do collars work lol

#

This is what I have so far

gritty crow
#

Yo did you have a ref for this one?

simple eagle
spark slate
#

Was bored

spark slate
#

Uhh... does this look somewhat normal?

queen plume
#

have you flipped the canvas

#

but chin looks a little sharp

gritty crow
#

I think something about the head should be more like thsi

#

So then you could make the eye go a bit higher and it look good

#

'the right eye

#

The centerline ain't centerlining

#

Move the mouth more left to where the centerline should be

gritty crow
#

So something like this

#

The chin seems fine to me but meh, I ussually draw very sharp chins so idk

gritty crow
#

The next advice I'm about to say is optional, so if your trying to get that tgcf kinda artstyle your going to have to make your eyes smaller but wayy longer.

#

I mean like the up and down should be small the right and left should be big. Uh does that even make sense?

spark slate
#

Yep totally!

#

Trying out a different style with this drawing

#

Kinda more danganronpa style

#

Thanks for the anatomy tips

#

I've been experiencing a major artblock these days and am struggling to finish or even start any drawings :/ Probably why you guys never see the improved versions of my art

gritty crow
spark slate
#

Of course there's no semblance of real lighting, other than that, how is it?
