So I've started to upload consistently last week. My art account is old, I just started this January but I wasn't very consistent. My like counts are the only thing going up but my followers aren't (well it is going up but it's so slow.)

As a traditional artist I know that my skills are enough but I also know my artworks are not reaching the right people because of tiktok algorithm.

Is there any tips on how I could grow my account faster and if you have any tips for my artwork, I'd also appreciate that. Thank you, have a nice day :))

First off, do not follow Trends too often that's going to basically kill your account if you ever decide to take a break.

Second, to make small art tutorials such as drawing an eye or how to draw hands.

Third, pick a demographic. Take your time thinking about who you want to be watching your content not just are the artist, but what type of people? Your art style may attract some BL manga lovers ( although I wouldn't really recommend it-) but you could also go for drawing popular k-pop members as well.

4th do not do "the follow for part 2 thing" it's rare for that for artist who aren't making a series such as a mini drama on tiktok there's only going to be a small number of people willing to watch a part two of a speed paint. As someone who constantly watched Tick Tock that was the most annoying thing possible it's always the part too or follow for part two etc etc it was annoying.

5th if you are going to follow Trends use popular audio clips that relate your content

6th expect your views to dwindle over time and then randomly Spike up that's how the algorithm is you get one popular video and then the next maybe get a few hundred views but it's still watched you got to expect that to happen don't blame yourself though

The photo composition absolutely can make a huge difference. Lighting, what it is on top of, what props are around it, how its all arranged. Everything. If you make the picture look interesting outside of just the drawing it will definitely be more attracting and people may be more inclined to follow you because they see how you make your art look cool
