I hit a BIG block in my journey as an artist. i dont know what to draw, i dont know how to draw, i dont know how to improve and i dont know how or what to learn. It feels like i have no future in art if i dont find a way to keep going folward. I could use any advice you have about art, line art, details, color theory and free courses that I could use to improve even a little. Any help I will highly appreciate it 🙂

Art is a skill that is obtained through practice and determination. Don’t think that you have no future in art. Remember that anything is possible. I would say YouTube and Pinterest is the best way to learn art. Try to follow one single tutorial (or sets of them but from one channel). After you get the base of art, find your style. Maybe make one of your own or look through art styles on Pinterest and see which suits you the best. At least do one drawing a day to keep things in flow.
The more you practice the better
You can become an artist in a week!
I will find tutorials on yt to help you out
I can get you around that art block
And what I want from you is discipline
Do you agree?
Dicipline?
Discipline
And how do i dicipline myself?
A video on how to start drawing from the very very start - and where to start with your art! :]
Most important thing though: This is just the way I would suggest you'd learn it.
It's not a 'must do' by any means.
00:00 Foreign dude talking about stuff
01:30 Most important drawing skills
10:30 Advanced drawing Skills
18:36 Which Artworks require...
Listen to me
That is the ONLY video you need
I have been there
The video will tell you what skill you need
You will accquire one then go to the other
NO CHEATING
At the end of the day it comes to you
How bad do you hate the art block
You need to have spirit of wanting to grab that art block and crush it to pieces
The fload gates are ready to burst open from the sea of ideas but i cant turn them into anything so i can say that i am pretty pissed on the block
The video will tell you the skill you need and explain what the skill is
Not teach it to you
(Because then the video would be 10 years long)
i will tell you what video you are gonna watch to learn that skill
Are you ready?
Yeah
Start the video
Watch the intro
Tell me what the first skill that man tells you to learn
Its how to draw from scratch like a idk what, couldnt understand what he said
Linework
Shape design
Im geting flashbacks from my art course a while back, i had to draw pages and pages of shapes, im still bad btw
Ok line work...
Do you know what line work is?
drawing lines
Drawing lines correctly
or things made of lines
No no
Drawing lines correctly
oh, yeah my hand writting is like heroglifes
im bad from the start
Can you show me a sketch you did
Or a picture of any shapes you drew for practice
and my hand is terrible thath why i started arti with my mouse
from ow? or from the past
From now
tried to draw a dragon
Good
You know how to draw 2d squares, rectangles, circles?
You said you practiced them before
i said i did but i also said im not good
Then practice is the word here
Just complete simple 2d shapes not 3d
2d square, rectangle, triangle, circle
Once you are able to draw 2d square, rectangle, triangle, circle
Don't forget to @ me or dm me
@vestal steeple ?/10
I said 2d 😅
oh
Dont worry about 3d now
@vestal steeple
10/10
you are not that at the start
Which is good to know 😀
I higly doubt im a 10/10, tbh it took 5 tries for the squard and the circle
if you want to see some of my drawings take a look here:https://www.deviantart.com/mmroentertainment
O
Then i recommend you draw more of these 2 shapes
And what is the middle shape?
it should have been a square but its more of a rectangle
Yea...
That is why I pointed it out
So
You have an assignment now
You are gonna practice these 2d shapes
Circle, square, rectangle, triangle
Until you are comfartable with them
Basicaly not taking 5 tries
And do not try to make every shape to be perfect when practicing
If it is wrong move on
And dont do the same mistake
Mistake is a part of the practice
Any confusion, question
@ me or dm me
well guess i know what im doing the rest of the day
Thanks @vestal steeple for the help and advice, i really appreciate it
Once you are comfortable with them (to the point that when you pick up the pen and draw one of these shapes you would be hella sure that you wont have to erase it a 5 times)
Then the practice would be over
