The bird is pastel cokored, so he kinda mixes with the background

So making a little darker background could make him pop up more

i think it looks good- maybe just push the saturation of some colors slightly, like the pink and yellow, but otherwise its recognizable and nice

it blends into the background because the bird is light coloured and the background is white, make the background black.

Here's an update! Just some minor color changes (and making the color reference not look like it's a middle finger) but I think it helps. Thanks!

pretty good art but one thing thats bugging me is the tail not being long enough and not touching thr ground

i have 2 stinky boys of this specie and the teil even goes below feet level if they are sitting on a branch or sth

i suggest you make the tail longer and gradually lower it until around 1/3rd of it touches the ground

this the best i could take of him without scaring him away

the tail is roughly the same lenght if not longer than the body

and the wings also stick out a bit. just a little longer than the body
