To me the first one is the realistic.

In those kind of poses, legs tend to be crossed each other. Since the characters seek to hug, would make sense that the blue one, is hugging the black one with arms AND legs.

also, since you mention that you dont know what to do with the arm, just look for normal hug references. You'll see that, the black character, should have his left arm going under the blue one's right arm,

Rlly nice art! I thought the 2nd pose was more realistic, bc I saw Alot of references made by irl people on Pinterest that looked like the 2nd pose. But the 1st pose is good as well!
