Hello! I would just like to ask if i have to learn the basics of art like drawing shapes in 3D, Learning how to draw things from different angles, learning how to combine geometric shapes with organic shapes before moving on to learning shading, drawing faces, anatomy etc.

Personally, I find the best way to learn shapes, angles, faces ect is to enjoy yourself and draw from what YOU see. Not from Pinterest! Pinterest is great and blah blah blah but it’s good not to rely on digital resources.
In no way shape or form do you NEED or HAVE to learn anything about art, is is to be enjoyed so take your time and don’t rush through it. I seriously hate it when other artists especially critique people’s work and tell them to do a bunch of advanced stuff, it’s ridiculous and not needed.
If you want to learn more professionally (I guess) I would recommend learning from the professionals, not just artists you like. And BOOKS!! I cannot tell you books are one of the best things ever! Upsets me people don’t read books to learn much 😔
This isn’t super related but I want to say, when it comes to anime or cartoons etc (stylised work) you need to remember where these artists learnt to draw like this. Seek the professionals!
