Okay
torsos too short, and show knees
Oh, now I see what the problem was! Thank you so much for helping!
And also thank you with the hands!
npp
This comes off as a bit crude, you can look at what lily did if you wan to be as constructive as possible!
I know you like to help people and your advice is sound, but just showing an overlay with no direction comes off as crude
I sincerely apologize for coming off as such. There's a great many posts with the same issues, many of which I have given detailed critique on. I've grown a little cold towards pointing out the same specific issues I see here. I'll dive in for OP as to clarify.
It's a very common thing for new artists to jump straight to extremely stylized proportions. What tends to happen when this is done, is that the artist skips learning how the true forms of the body exist in 3d space in favor of flat 2d shapes. When these flat 2d shapes are used with no understanding of the true forms of what they represent, they tend to look amateurish, stiff and flat. They create the opposite of the appeal that exaggerated shapes are usually intended to induce.
When I look at OP's work, I can very clearly see that OP doesn't have a good understanding of the fundamentals of figure drawing nor of the forms that his/her shapes represent. I can also see that he/she made no effort to study real and accurate proportions, forms and anatomy. Because OP lacks this key knowledge, OP is unable to see what's off about her/his own work.
What I recommend OP do, is take a step back and put effort into drawing with some references of real people and his goal, and to actually draw what you he sees with said reference, not what you think you see. Put his focus towards accuracy rather than stylization. In fact, his "Style" shouldn't have any conscious effort put into it. It's something that develops naturally over time as you choose certain ways to represent certain forms. Once OP has a good grasp of how a figure should look, be posed and exist in 3d space, OP will find his work will improve dramatically.
There's nothing wrong with wanting to draw stylized art, but I assume OP is here to get good. As such, I'm assuming OP's end goals align with what standing professionals can do. As such, to get to that point, OP needs to put in the effort to understand what it is he's drawing in an accurate fashion.
It's not my art, but yeah much more helpful
I realized I was replying to the wrong person XD Fixed.
@last pollen Ping so you see.
Just to clarify my overlay;
There you can see the difference between your diagram and what a real figure in your described age range looks like. Note the large difference between the thickness of the forms.
First. He/Him pronouns only please.
Second I had never had mentioned anything about my style. I was simply asking for help for someone to point out what was wrong with it
Not a full on analysis on what was wrong with my artwork and my art style and you quoting it as "style"
Do not presume anything about me. You're assuming all of these things when you don't know anything about me.

Hey. How can I help you? I tried reading through the messages but I do think illusioneer has good intent. I believe they edited the pronouns too?
My pronouns are he/him.
This is not in good intent Criticizing my style when it had nothing to do with the subject what's the whatever.
Assuming a lot of things about me which was not appropriate.
And again the pronouns
But he does use he/him now? Or am I missing something
The "his/her"
Ohh, I guess illusioner put that because he wasnt sure which pronoun you prefer
I think he was trying to be considerate
Not everyone HAS to draw realistically, its art it can be expressed however.
I see that, and I understand you're upset, but I honestly think illusioner was attempting to be considerate here.
But having said that @hoary olive going forward, you might want to gauge the persons objectives and attitude towards art first, before full blown analysis and critique. And please be mindful of the pronouns.
There was none of that
My pronouns are right there always have been
Maybe let's just end this discussion. Noone will get something from it.
Except for spam pings
Thank you
You can unfollow the thread, I'm a moderator so please let me do my job and not interfere.
Sorry bout it. I was just trying to help. I'll mind my own business. /:
Don't worry about it, we appreciate you^^
I let him know to be more mindful of the pronouns and critique, and from now on I'm sure he knows to check the bio. It's a honest mistake though, you will also do yourself a favor if you try to speak your mind calmly and clearly first, before assuming a personal attack on yourself. I honestly think there was no ill intent here.
I second this.
It's fine, I figured out a solution to the problem. This is the second time this has happened
Glad to hear you figured it out
Maybe in future posts you could include a disclaimer of what type of critique/help you are and are not looking for? Or maybe just no critique at all and only specific help.
OK, thank you both for your time and helping resolve this issue.Thank you thank you!!
