i want my art to look more like draxxom/doctor nowhere’s, or more in general more horror themed.
And i want to know what i can do to improve it. tips or advice will be greatly appreciated! 😁

they don't really use an airbrush, while you seem to use it a lot. from what i can see, they use a hard edged round brush, and maybe a texture brush as well. they also use more extreme values. you can try abandoning the airbrush and using the same brushes as them, it'll make a big difference. also, watch speed paints of their work if you can find any - it'll give you an insight into their process. what may also benefit you is doing a study of their work where you try to copy it exactly.

no problem : ) the majority of it looks like a hard round painterly brush that tapers off at the end. probably acrylic because it doesn't blend as much as an oil brush would? i'm not sure for the textured lines one, i'll have a look tomorrow. what program are you using?

nevermind, i googled "draxxom art brushes" and found this pinned on their twitter (spoilers for blood!!!!)

i probably can't help you with the texture brush cause i use csp, you'll just have to experiment

it looks like a custom hard round brush with a bit of opacity, you can probably recreate it with some trial and error

that's really good : D

the next thing to do is try an original work, but apply what you learned from this study, and do some more studies if you need
