perhaps its the lighting? if he's lying down maybe the light would come from a different direction. The hair would also be pressed to the surface hes lying on if that's the case.

The hair on the left side shouldn't be sticking outwards because he's lying down, but I'm basically saying the same thing as the person above me

Maybe make it so that the hairs on the right side appear to be pressing downwards against a surface since they are lying down

Move the nose over a bit. Center of chin, center of lips, center of eyes, make a line.

You can lasso select individual strands of hair and transform it so that it looks like it’s pressed against the ground
