#General critique on a wip?

I’m no good at backgrounds but I can say yours looks incredible! The only things I’d say Is moving the cloud so you can read what’s happening with the arm better and maybe lift the heel up on the front leg so the weight is on the toes?
OH WAIT looking back it’s so obviously hair 😭
I’d still add just a little definition to the arm
Ok.
I’ll try to be the more objective.
Colors are correct.
From what I see you You use colors correctly.
That’s good…
I think I can make some criticism at my level
the placement of the shadows seems correct, in contradiction with the light, the background colors are good, the clouds too, can be better to improve the hair
But remember that’s just a wip
I’m waiting for final results
Some things are just not making sense to me, example on the water it's obvious where the light is coming from but for the girl there isn't any clue. I can tell you did good on the reflection light but I think you need more shadows for the upper body.
Oh yeah thank you! :0 i see it now, I'll define the hair and arm more to separate them clearly :)
What do you see about the hair that needs improving?
It's not finished yes, but maybe I could fix some problems I don't even see :0
Yeah I get what you mean! :0
I'm trying to work with diffused lighting since she's being lit from practically everywhere by the bright sky and reflective water. 🤔 Tho I will try to add a more solid light source matching the brightest water reflection (and a shadow that goes with it)! :D thank you!
Progress so far! Added slightly more lighting to the character with a stronger back light :o
Now just gotta render more, change the weight bearing foot so the heel is more lifted, work on the ship and more
