Your skills are really solid, the colors of the first one is sick af.
I just want to warn you, idk what type of college you want to join but doing only manga sketch character is not really varied.
I conseil you to present more things and more skills u have. Draw landscape, share observation draw, try to switch medium and share some traditional art. Try also different styles and not only manga, try realism, cartoon or bd's style.
I wish you the best luck hope you get taken
Ah thank you so much!! Yeah and I know about it and I myself want to get to art college too, I have tried and am doing other type of art in oder to get to the college Im aiming for! But still tysm! I think it was my fault for not made it clear. It should be "I want to improve this kind of my art" since this is what I want to draw the most and to be good at it
yeah i agree with kara. but if you wanna submit some of your manga works too i suggest you clean up some of your lines and also display finished works
you would want a variety of concept works and finsihed works. gl dude
There is other kind of art Im doing too ヽ(o^ ^o)ノ This is the type of art that my aiming college required
Ok ok that's pretty confusing sorry
Oh dont be it was my fault, tysm for typing it all for me ∑d(°∀°d)
Soo for the manga style and character in general I recommend you to focus a lit on body proportions, like the last one have some problem. The chest is pretty high and the legs looks a bit too short
And also (idk again if u do that) but try to present some piece with a clean line art
A finished piece
If finished work then this, but it all commission and I has done this since feb and later but not till may
Literally what's sin say I'm dumb
I hardly recommend you learning anatomy If you want to be illustrator
Don't say that 😭
You just need to practice
I think I can but ehm idk, when coloring it really hard for me to render. Since I alway sketch freely and try to correct it when rendering (I think it really fun)
Your pose is too static and the left hand is in the wrong direction
So wahen I coloring a line art it feel so hard
I understand your problem
But the really really sketchy results is not really professional
The last piece you send looks better af
This
Im not using any line art for this piece tho- maybe it is because it is my latest finished piece
I stop try to finish a work since it takes too much time
tbh have you ever thoguht of using a cleaned up sketch as ur linework?
its how i get around not doing linework lmao
Your face is good but you have problem un the body
Oh this one is actually my latest fully rendered piece
Cute aaaaah
I always try to mess up when coloring so tbh even if I get a cleaned sketch it not really a line art for me
Thank you
!!
I will notice it
maybe I will have to look at ref more often
Yeah
Took reference for everything u do
It's the best way to understand and progress
Like this one is sketch but I think it clean enough, Im trying to sketcj more this way too
Same with this (the anatomy looks off i will try to fix it later
)
The line are great
For me your line and your color/rendering are great, you need to focus on gesture /pose/anatomy
Why not composition if you want to do illustrator
