I’ll be keeping this post updated, if you wnan give tips as a go feel free too it would be much appreciated, also if you happen to have good textured brushes for clip studio paint it would also be nice if you share them with me
Some are alot more successful than others, I like the abstract look, and the bold colors, but some of the pieces struggle with the use of value and perspective, which makes it hard for the viewer to tell what is happening in the scene.
I’d say the 4th and 8th ones tha are possible are harder to tell what is going on the 8th is because I took like 5 minutes on it without really caring just picking out colors close to the reference and boom
@slender phoenix just some studies I don’t know if you have gotten into landscape but if not then I can show you some other stuff if you are interested, you seem very knowledgeable on stuff
thanks lol, but unfortunatley u hit one of my weak spots :/ im much more of a character illustrator, so i cant offer much of my own knowledge. but what i can get you is resources, ill send them in here in a bit, as im kinda rushing on something right now, but trust, ill be sure to get back to u on this
Resources would be great, I’ve also done some character/people stuff if you would like to see I’ll send some pics, I have problem of not finishing my pieces sadly. One sec

Omg my internet sucks
I love em! Landscapes, and overall landscape artists are some people I respect majorly. Cuz damn it's a pretty tricky thing to learn—I quite literally have no experiences with proper landscape drawing
May I ask what's your process on making these? How exactly do you decide your colors and composition? Do you use references for these?
Some stuff
I use refrence 90% of the time since these are studied for picking the right values and colors I usually go with what feels right and it takes experience, some peope might usually go really like grey for the blue but in reality the sky blue is a lot darker in black and white than most people think, for colors I really just look at the refrences and go as similar as I can but I’m not too experienced in coloring landscapes yet or even making them on my own in general it’s all a slow process
The first color picture I sent was one without reference
I see, references really are a big help for art in general eh? And I'll keep your methods in mind when I start my own training on landscapez. Thankzz
No problem and yes refrences are a huge part in all of art, without refrence 90% of art would not be made correctly
THIS IS AN AWSOME VIDEO ON THIS THAT IM ALSO GNNA STUDY ok so i found this vid https://youtu.be/_e6wTOuJ20M?si=e7NlKhLFxpkjeWqf and it clearly shows the the fundamentals in landscaping and the how and the why and the OMG ITS SO GOOD, its pretty long so u can skip around and stufff
