Recently, another artist told me I should get a bigger drawing tablet/pad. What size is recommended for such a thing and what tablet/pad would be best? Assume a price range somewhere between 500-600

hi, honestly if you are happy with your small tablet there's no reason to buy bigger one. I know many people who prefer smaller formats so you should definitely decide based on your own preferences

I think this is a nice starting point for a drawing tablet(no screen). If you wanna go further up then go for it

Then this one is nice for a display tablet. Once again you can go further up. I personally have a pro series tablet but it mostly due to me liking the features it included.

When buying a tablet you need to think about what your needs are. Dont worry about others needs. Some people need less. Some people need more. You dont need to worry about others’. If you want lots of buttons then go ahead and look for ones with lots of buttons. I recommend getting a tablet with a 12” working surface or more. This being so you dont have a tiny working area restricting your movements and having joint pains. (Which you explicitly stated you wanted to avoid if possible)

You absolutely do not need to go over the top in price range. A tablet i greatly considered was only $220 usd.

ik other brands are cheaper, but I'd recommend that you stick with wacom, just bigger surface area, bc the quality is unmatched. especially screenless, they're nearly immortal. i've had mine almost 7 years now and it's as good as new
