#i cant draw body
1 messages · Page 2 of 1
Hmm do you know pewdiepie?
oh ye i learn his method
also
its ok
like its good for head and facial feature which is what i was struggling on
but he doesnt teach you much about anatomy
Do you know pewdiepie?
i do
the ytuber that got better at drawing in a 100 days
He improved fast beacuse he was drawed with reference
and also minecraft and other stuff
exactly ;-;
so idk why your not using em more often
he was a graphic desinger before this, so he had some idea. He also learned anime style by manga and other youtube video
rip battery ;-;
And theres a problem
Iam in diffirent country
Like when its morning for you
Its night to me
It’s nighttime for me also
Oh
Lol
Oui
i just sat here and read thru this mans entire journey and i hope he becomes a great artist
Same 😭
its gonna take long
Naw bro iam not gonna be a good artist
it just takes time, a lot of it actually
it took me about 4 years to get to the point where I somehow liked my art and I'm still not nearly done improving, you can't expect those things to go that fast
i dont wanna sound like a ted talker, but youre not gonna be a good artist with that attitude. obviously youre not going to be pro artist level in a few days, you have to try. practise, etc. its how we all got to where we are, and its how youre going to get to pro level. if you go in with the mindset "im not going to be a good artist", thats what is gonna happen. youre not going to be a good artist. you have to have confidence to make results youll be happy with
Dam I was gone for a few days, what the shit happend
What your saying is a self fulfilling prophecy. You say to yourself "I can't do it I will never be good artist" that leads to "oh I drew a bad drawing I must suck" then that leads to "why am I trying if I'm never going to anyway" and that be it. If you want to succeed your art isn't what you need to fix, it's your mindset. It's simply a self fulfilling prophecy right now, take a break ask your self why you think you cant do it in the first place (since you already know becoming a pro artist takes time cut that off) What else in your past makes you negative about this experience? Did you fail at other things or maybe do you not like failing sometimes or something else that's making you think this way? Try and figure it out then realise that your own potential to become a artist is really high and I'm not just saying that I mean it. In a few months you will see progress if you get your negative mindset and make it more positive. Just try and ask yourself why your taking this negatively and disattach it from art and be okay with trying things for a long time regardless of if it will work. I have explained why your mindset is going to be a self fulfilling proffecy so now it's up to you, it's okay which ever option you choose but pick one that will make you the most happy.
Also when I said disattach it I mean like heal it make sure you don't have that mindset to any new experience too.
BRO WHAT A
OK GUYS CHILL BRUH
I WAS GONNA DO SOMETHING FOR ANATOMY AND I DID COME THIS CHAT
WHAT A HELL
Watch this: https://youtu.be/CbYBtvygBiQ?si=ocRos0jdxNivzHeV
Ik your going to say that you already practiced shapes, this is a bit different. Watch it fully and you can learn new stuff

In this video I'll show you h...
yes
and uh dont forget that your drawing 3d and imagine it like seriously
i have a plan now to help you get 1000x better, so first were going to practice these shapes then i will give you new shapes to draw way harder ones. Im going to go a bit more slow and help you alot more now
we may be stuck in this stage for atleast a week because there is going to be alot of hard shapes. So first watch the video
thanks for the help
Niceee, that's good
Draw a few more and let's see from there
ok
where can I get more of this
why shading
also, if i see pro do a useful/ helpful shape can i just copy it because it works for me too
um
What are you going to practice today/tonight
When practicing drawing 3d
I find it easier to draw things in real life
Because your eyes can perceive depth
If you're using digital
It's not a bad idea to trace over body poses to get an idea on proportion
You could have done any and many lol, I wasn't there yesterday sorry about that
Take this refrence.
If you ever run out of cube refrences here's another refrence that mostlikely you won't be able to complete in a day
(you don't have to do all of these but draw some (6-7), I want to understand your level of understanding)
dies
you try it.
Ok I'm back let me explain, so anyone will understand what's a cube and how to draw it. But it be wrong, so someone who wouldn't know would draw something more like this. I mean you can understand it's a cube but as a artist who knows perspective it looks very wrong
^^
I think even GK (person who were helping) can tell what's wrong because he learned stuff.
i can draw cubes, but i drawing cubes in persective.
i can tell what wrong about this drawing
explain it
the front side of cube is more close to us but back side is more far from us
so when somethink far its gonna be small
but theres a problem with drawing
(iam drawing something right now)
Hell yeah! Good job buddy! 👍👍👍
iam getting better at drawing?
Yep
Lets go
You drew something that would be perfect in real life
I mean you understand it, but same thing!
Tommorow, were gonna introduce alot of new stuff
So get your learning hat on
Your a drawer!
YES
(this is for tommorow incase I forget to send it: https://youtu.be/rN-dnBJUKwI?si=qkkjiuTS90d7G5eP ) after you understand this there will be alot harder shapes and many shapes to cover in one day and things to understand, I'm planing this video after when you understand the cylinder: https://youtu.be/A6KMT4Potss?si=KWr6s5jQtiryzLbN
Yep alot harder shapes and shit and also many more shapes. (After this we can learn how to stylize it into the artstyle you want, I'm guessing it's dragonball kinda style but I will help you stylize it into anime dw) This is alot so it will take a long time if it gets too boring or is leading you to burn out we can switch the topic and learn other things about art.

Hey there, Liron here!
In this part 2/3 we’ll dive de...
A full tutorial guide on how to draw the original "Loomis method" head - from the front, from the side and in perspektive, including the guidelines for every perspective.
There's a also a little Step by step about drawing every perspective!
Have fun - drawin' like a Sir ✍
Original Loomis PDF:

... Very hard for a beginner easy for a intermediate or pro artist
woww, these look perfect (i didnt mean to be rude but i was uninformed)
It's all cool, glad you understand a bit better now : )
do i need master at cylinders?
Yep
Try your best to atleast, we will see
just master making simple 3d shapes 👍
ok
Any advice on how to make practicing cubes/cylinders more fun?
Well there's not really advice for that. I personally enjoyed it but it's probably not the same for everyone,
Oof aight
Sure, just make sure when you come back to it you don't skip any parts by mistake : )
That looks good : )
Btw, you can use horizonline for body's too, that's why I'm suggesting this.
Btw Just for fun do this if you wanna
Can you find out what would be the Hl and vanishing point for the drawing you drew?
uh
Hehe, well ig I will explain it to you. You learnt that anything above the horizon line will be in a above perspective and below and straight and etc etc, so where would the hl be in your drawing, (consider that shapes that we used for the body follow that hl)
Ask away
Niceee
this is correct? (i didnt draw this)
Yeah
oh ok ok
That's 2 point perspective
: ) that's good
horizon line used for background too?
Yep
Horizon line and perspective itself applies to everything in life
Btw... Why is the shape below the tummy so thin? That shapes supposed to represent our ____ SOo think about how much width it be compared to rest of the body
Definetly not that thin
Learn what the shapes are supposed to represent and think. As humans we already can see stuff and the width of stuff we have it in our brain, so All you need to do is think, and it's also perfectly fine not to know at all that's why refrences are so important
... Why is a sketch needed? To see the drawings angles and width of each area. So if you make something skinny when it isn't the angle will mess up too, which later will make your full drawing look unfinished or drawn in the wrong angle.
ok
dont take this seriously
Looks pretty good,
Hey @fallen abyss
A LOT of people might disagree with what I’m saying so take this with a grain of salt. I’ve been drawing for 15 years and here’s what I’ve learned. The ONLY way you can get better, is with practice. It doesn’t matter what method you choose. Try whatever is convenient for you. My whole life, I could NEVER understand anatomy or things like the loomis method. After trial and error for months, nothing clicked for me. Through repeated practice with freehand drawing I’ve just developed an instinct for proportion and anatomy. The more I draw, the fewer mistakes I make. I’ve drawn so much to the point where my hands do the work and my mind just switches off. And I still don’t have a basic understanding of anatomy. It’s just an INSANE amount of practice which developed that instinct.
Here’s a portrait I drew that incorporates elements of anatomy despite the fact that I’m a Neanderthal when it comes to that stuff.
It’s practice that allowed me to gain an understanding of shadow, lighting, proportions, and shapes.
Free handing stuff like me isn’t what I’m advising you to do. What you SHOULD do is practice
It will take years. But be patient
Do whatever is convenient for you. No matter what method you choose
God damn your art is awesome
Damn
WAIT IS THAT A DRAWING? I THOUGHT IT WAS A PHOTO
and thanks for helping me
No no, I didn't mean that like that
another face?
Another face 😨😨 do you see it, I put it in red
I meant that as like a haha Easter egg joke lol
wait i did accidently did a side face and its better than all my side face drawings
WHAAT
but its looks like dog
Lmaooo, i first looked at that and went to he improved on side faces lmao
yo i did cheat beacuse i did the drawing without sketch? only just looking the other manga drawing?
There's no cheating in art
The greatest of painters use refrences for their favourite peices,
It's called a reference, we learn by looking
wait so if i do like these things my muscle memory gonna
uh
like pewdiepie did this too
Yeah, it's going to remember it
and he improved good
ok iam gonna do jujutsu kaisen drawings
beacuse i love jujutsu kaisen art style
Yeah sure, make sure to understand what your drawing too
I mean like, yk how we draw circle for head and for all other features. You gotta understand
oh
Yes understand everything try to atleast haha
a one time i was trying to make my method(anatomy) like tracing the body, making shapes for upperbody like that
btw some of the arm length changes is because of perspective right pick up on it a bit
i was tracing and drawing shapes for the body,
Yeah that's good
iam gonna do that when i draw the sukuna without cloth
Were you trying that while you thought 2d shapes is what were trying to do? Or was it after you knew 3d shape
(no he have pant but he dont have shirt
3d
idk i was tracing
and how 3d works in body
Nice
and i cant understread how iam gonna draw 3d body without line for 3d
i think i need to understread shadow?
Hl?
wait wait iam gonna draw something
Sure
Im very confused on what line your refering to, since you said painting did you mean countour lines? Or like the perspective stuff
Hi
So to answer that, you aren't doing shadow. Your doing the side plain of body. Just like square
and full drawing = the character drawings you draw on the sketch
no no iam asking how iam gonna make the body 3d without the line like the red line
Why do you wanna remove it?
or why iam asking this when you draw a character with shirt or shirtless you can make the character look 3d with details
is this correct?
Ohhh wait let me type this out
Most people draw the line on the clothes many, use the fabric of the clothes to make the 3d look correct,
yeah i was saying that
Okay cool
i think problem solved right? or i need some learnings too for 3D bodies?
ohhh
wait
wait
i get it
lol
the lines make sketch 3d
Yep
in full drawings details make the drawing 3D (like fabric lines of shirt, shadows and more)
yeah
Hehe
Lol haha
Heyy btw when r u drawing next?
read all of this from the top, its crazy how fast you improved GK
Yeah it is pretty fast ngl, your improving fast GK
hm
wait
2 month 4 days?
i did make this chat 2 month 4 days ago?
damn
its 64 days
HOW
time is fast
bro what a
i think pucci is in real life bruh
i cant find references
Ayo wtf
did you like it?
i did draw this without reference
Thanks : )
That’s what 15 years of drawing does to a man
Your art is getting so much better
When drawing try and measure stuff, so like try and think when drawing stuff how big is this compared to the hand or any thing you have already drawn. So example this head is the same size as the arm not including hand. Or even you could say head size is half the size of the upper body. So I'm just using head as a example but when you finish drawing on thing like the hand immediately think how big is next thing compared to this.
Also remembering in the sketching phase where there isn't much details try and ask yourself, what angle is this?
Example is this, this angle is more straight
Okay that's enough info dumping I think lol
Something to note is that gege mostly uses sharp angles for the faces, so you could expect the chins to be sharp and narrow just like in the image
The forearms seem to also be straighter in the manga panel
damn bro had a whole server members gathering
Fr
when i draw manga panels i draw for fun and for my muscle memory
oh and the drawing is the same but i drawed leg so the angle looks like wrong
back side leg
Learn gestures first and use the shapes you learned so far
So do you know what's a angle? If you don't uh it's pretty ez, a circle is 360 so if you half it it will look like a 90 degree so yeah. The reason why I said angle is wrong is because chest is angled to like what a 60 degree angle but flipped while it should have been straight. That's all there is to angles, well ig people also say if the charector part facing the wrong way also a angle ig that's what you thought when I said that haha
my brain cant understand that
sorry
and i didnt draw the angles detailed
beacuse when i was trying to draw detailed drawing became wrong so i erase and drawed and it look like that
but its yuji? yes
the only thing is angles are not the same too much
its correct? yes
its need to be correct not the same as the angle
its just a reference
not drawing full
so thats why the angle is not same too much
so you all like dont need to explain too much, i need the answer that is this correct for body
oh my lord this thread has 1319 messages 😭
1321*
ive seen a thread with 60k+...
NO WAY
WHAT A HELL THEY ARE TEXTING ABOUT?
THE THREAD CREATOR LEARNING ART 0 TO 100?
It's in another server but it was just a super long political argument thread about 🇮🇱 🇵🇸
Sorry if changed the subject way too much but how's your progress so far? @fallen abyss
stand with palpatine
the galactic empire did nothing wrong
the 13 court squad guards vs jujutsu sorcerers 🔥🔥
fr
bro what you guys talking about?
hell nah you calling palastine as palpatine? and why you saying galactic empire
hell nah bro
its a joke
im not trying to get political and im not taking either side
It's a Star Wars reference/joke 🫣
#ExplainingTheJoke. Palpatine, which sounds like Palestine, was the emperor of the galactic empire in Star Wars. It just sounds the same. It's not an political statement. It's more a star wars political statement if anything.
Anyway, how's your drawing coming along? 😅
https://youtube.com/shorts/78geLj7souE?si=jCm_R0bYxlslc1dQ
Idk why I'm sending this but it's kind of fun no
This entire forum is so cute and wholesome
i wish nothing but cold pillows and cold water for u all
You made a cylinder into a skinny oval lol
ok
split the body parts into diff shapes.
like arms as cylinders and torso and hips as cubes

In this video I go over a mistake artists make when drawing their sketches
why when i draw on the paper art is looking diffirent?
Idk probably becuz you have been measuring stuff differently, in irl if you look at it from below the drawing will be different. So it's best to look at it from full straight and middle rather than other stuff. I'm not actually sure why but it's just my guess
Btw, have you watched the cylinder video I sent you very long ago?
To be honest idk how you even got this, btw tell me when your free idk let's just practice heads at different angles (like 3/4th view) I kinda need more information on what's going wrong here
this is correct for anotomy or not?
Learn simple shapes and anatomy before trying to draw an entire body in a difficult pose
It isn't
Exactly
Yeah, but it's a bit more accurate then your other ones. Another thing you drew the boxes wrong, like I'm confused I thought you learned it
I don't think I need to explain because you have learnt this already
Okay second thing, The box method isn't that easy as to only using boxes for everything. Uh let me find a tutorial
Idk if recommending box method is a good method to recommend to a beginner
Wait ima find a good tutorial with beginner friendlyness
What method do you think would be good?
Btw I didnt recommend it to GK, idk he first watched a anatomy tutorial beffore I came on here I tried to say that tutorial wasnt to good then uh ig he wanted a similar method and I have him a box tutorial now that I think back that tutorial wasnt that good lol
Nvm, now that I'm remembering how to do the box method, I'm remembering it's dependant on knowing where the ribcage and pelvis already is 💀
Yeah no box method for GK
I got a question about the shape for body stuff how I do I transform the shapes into an actual body xD
Well, first step is to know what your shapes are representing. Then you would have to learn the stuff there representing, and go into more detail about it. Like cylinders for arms, you can search up how to draw arm anatomy you will get each muscle and how to draw them
Yk it's sorta like that, constructing and knowing what it represents is the first phase , drawing what it represents is the other phase
If you cant draw the easy cylinders then you won't be able to draw the individual muscles we will carve and add into later
Okay I went offline for a bit, back now
Pleasee just learn the basic shapes, you got the box it's only a few more then you can learn more complex shapes
Drawing on my phone without being able to zoom is so hard, this isn't accurate but like it should show you that there is something to improve on
my hand cant go straight
thats why this box looks weird
learn it? ye i learned 2 months ago
and i cant draw actual body
i cant learn it correctly
its gonna take 10 years to learn and draw actual good body
i think my hands are not for drawing
look this sh**
i be gonna honest, all my drawings are sh**
they looking same when i trying to draw a body
nothings changed
iam soo sorry for stealing your time
all of my drawings have soo many problems
my drawings are not even %4 good
I mean you learned the square you forgot to do cylinders
To get to a artist who has drawn for 10 + years (the drawer for dragon ball) What makes you think this journey is going to be fast af, but I will promise you one thing with consistency and the right techniques you can draw anatomy atleast 90% of him inside 2-3 years. Yeah long time right? This is because not everyone has perfect idea of 3d and nobody has that good luck on how they draw angles unless what they are 1 percent of the entire community. Most artists spend 3-4 years learning anatomy beffore they fully learn it and that's not something that's easy or can change, 4 years isn't that long if you have fun and can laugh off stuff then improve, so that's what I recommend everyone to do. Your drawings maybe 4% good but guess what? Your a beginner yo thats normal, you will level up later on and another thing don't even worry about "stealing time" this is what I participated for and honestly your a beginner, I don't expect you to learn all this so fast
Trust me you will, I will help you okay?
Okay so one thing, the spine this will make your poses more organic, (you don't have to memorise the names of each part of spine just know how it works, this is also part of basic anatomy but isn't talked about much and I forgot too)
https://youtu.be/t4Dzo95Vpb0?si=Ujj7mJfWvGkGQoKs
Second thing each charector in dragon ball has different face shapes and body shapes so it will be different keep it in mind. So talking about shapes first we gotta understand the shapes from side view and front view others don't matter as much becuz from front we get plane one (yk how in boxes we have 4 plains so we gonna call the front plane front plane.) front plane thickness and from side we get side plain thickness. Back plain is same as front and side is same as other side. So let's break down the shapes of Goku with squares 👌. At first glance you may think side view doesn't fit in a box but becuz of spine it kind of rotates so it does fit.
Drawing The SPINE - Anatomy, Structure & Movement - Anatomy 2
In this episode we take a look at drawing the spine, starting with the overall structure and anatomy. We will take a look at some construction methods for simplifying the spine and drawing it from imagination. I will also be going over how the spine moves and articulates with the rib...
DO NOT START WITH PERSPECTIVE. ALWAYS USE REAL LIFE REFERENCES!!!!!
Uh- do you perhaps mean don't start with hard perspectives? Idk for me starting with shapes and perspective helped alot, so maybe your saying don't do hard perspectives?
Yes no hard perspectives, you can do simple singular shapes in perspectives but just not whole bodies yet. First learn simple anatomy
wait, i need to draw spine all the time when i draw poses?
Uh ussually artists draw it as a line, it doesn't really show so some people just tend to keep the spine in mind for now you should draw it as it is or as a line, it be better that way
Support me on Patreon: http://patreon.com/excaliblader
In this video I go over a common mistake artists make when drawing boxes in perspective
Do you know what vanishing points are, I think it would ACTUALLY boost your art @fallen abyss
it was in the video I sent him about boxs I'm pretty sure he watched and understood it but just is forgetting a bit now lol
oh oke 👍
thanks for the video
wait
Did you draw it then put image on top?
How did you mess up tracing
look, thats why
Why didn't you just undo it then
I Don't understand what's going on right now
I'm seriously just confused on what's happening
You didn't lose skill, I'm just very confused on how your hand isn't going the right direction especially with tracing
my hands curving little
yeah no, we need to learn line art rn if you cant do that
Okay so what device do you use
And do you use any pen?
Okay that's nice
wait you thinking i was drawing with mouse? 💀
Some people finger draw, I'm one of finger drawers
Nono I wasn't, just asking
Okay so first thing, make big strokes using your shoulder
oh ok
MY SHOULDER?
WHAT
Yeah it gives more precision
Lift up your shoulder and don't use your wrist
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT
?
how iam gonna use pen with my shoulder
Hold pen, don't move wrist move shoulder instead
And elbows
Yk how your shoulder can MOVE?
Can you not do the those then either?
what
dayum
yo?
Hi
wsp
Nothin much
ok what now?
Your shoulders can move up down front back
ye
ye what?
oh
Okay see, left side of chest box
ye
ok fixed
i said my hands cant go straight
when i draw box
my hands are curving
Try using your shoulder and try again
Wait a second, your drawing it wrong on top of the picture too
Huhh
Yk that the chest/ribcage can move separately than the pelvis right?
(pelvis is the box you use for the butt)
Omg wait let me write everything I need to say
The circles represent the SHOULDERS, the first box is for the CHEST and it can be in a angle
I just think you don't understand many things about drawing
Well you gotta start somewhere.
I CANT DRAW A FUCKING RIGHT LINE HOW IAM GONNA DRAW THE FUCKING THINGS
IF I CANT DRAW A BASIC LINE HOW IAM GONNA DRAW A FUCKING BODY
Another thing about line art. Make a line and see where your pen lands and where your ink lands (not sure what the word for ink in digital is)
WELL LEARN IT THEN
IAM LEARNING BRUHG
THEN DONT COMPLAIN
I DONT KNOW WHAT IAM GONNA DO
YOUR GOING TO LEARN ART AND HOW IS YOUR CHOICE
Honestly, yk what no chicken scratching anymore either I have learnt it hinders your ability to make a line
Not good ones
exactly
ye
look
i did slowly
its fucking curving
i didnt move my wrist
i moved my arm
It's not really about slow or fast, it's about geting the right zone where you can draw precicesly but also fast
By fast I mean not slow that it becomes wobbly
Chill, take it easy. Try again and learn from last time
How
Hmm try different things than last time, try and make it straight no matter what
I CANT
Without chicken scratching, like focus on the line and do stuff differently
Chill, these are just few first attempts so what?
FOR A FUCKING LINE?
Not perfect
But sketches do make 80 percent of the drawing
So the better the sketch the better the outcome
I wish I had better advice to help you with this, I really don't
Have any advice
why iam getting tired of art
Because your mindset isnt that good and also because you have been geting very slow progress and forgetting the stuff you previously learnt that's probably why
ok
what iam gonna do now?
yo im here to help bud, looks like ur having trouble with lines.
I have a suggestion try these.
draw two dots where u want the line to be
now connect those two dots
now you can try only imagining these two dots
and try connecting those imaginary dots
I recommend connecting them in one fluid motion
if its hard to make a straight line, especially in awkward position. try rotating the whole canvas where you can comfortably draw straight lines
also be patient bro, and learn the fundamentals in the right order
No problem, that youtube channel shares a lot of super helpful advice for anatomy and guidelines if you wanna check them out
Omg this looks so good. Your def improving a lot
Oh I use this technique for line art and it's super solid 👌
Practice lines lol
Damn good advice
Not fast just normal
Btw how sure are you that you have onned pen stability? Can you send a screenshot that it's on
There's just this very little wobblyness that I just feel comes from no pen stability maybe I'm wrong though
I was watching a video for my own line art and I think this is more of shows what I was talking about
Screenshot came blurry
Okay I can't get a non blurry screenshot but I think you can see enough to know the difference
i can show you
Sure
I think your confusing pen pressure where the lines get thinner if you don't press as hard
look
I understand and I think you should on pen stability not only pressure
o
Theres a tutorial that takes 2 mins
i dont have tool options
Okay one second let me figure out your software
Okay look, you have your thing in a different language. In the tutorial guys window it's written as tools at the fully top.
Probably this one, then I'm guessing you will have different things because of your language
(you do know like the language your using right?)
Well uh idk how well but then after you click tools you gotta click "dockers" then you have to enable some kinda thing probably
Sure I guess
but
In the software right
Ohh, why don't you onn it for other stuff then? Is that not a option in krita?
Yes
Oh shit, are there any good brushes you can use?
Hmm get a good brush and use that
look
Looks good
pose good look right?
Yeah
It's gonna be the same tho, pencil or brushes doesn't make you good you make yourself good
Hey uh, I have a question
No it's just a question
tringale is for legs
its more easy when you draw tringale
Im pretty sure the only works when they are standing straight up. Let me show you why
yeah?
If you don't include muscle, this guys leg wouldn't be like that
Okay so, let's first remove the triangle and just make the cube go more down
Now if you add two circles for the thighs, (I drew this speedruning so it looks a bit bad)
You can move legs freely, now
This means alot more poses are possible with this
You can move it this direction, and front and back
Yeah then you will need the triangle shape to shape it out, but that's details for later
when i add circle
Yeah?
its look bad
Could you show me a pic?
i deleted the circles
So then I add like a cylinder shape kinda
No problem, can you explain it then
i cant add circles
You cant draw circles is what your saying?
Not sure of the direction you are trying to go to learn anatomy, but you should remember your line of action and balance.
The line of action is the overall movement, which doesn’t seem to be present in your drawing. I would recommend referencing the negative space in a reference!
ye
i just trying to draw correctly
not the pose himself
Yeah, were going a bit all over the place because we forgot to do line art stuff oof
This is will help you draw correctly ☺️
Our bodies have a line of action and balance, this will aid you with anatomy and possibly make it easier!
i trying to draw correctly for anotomy
if the my drawing is correct for anotomy
iam ok
iam not trying to draw the pose seriously
iam drawing for practice
and correct for anotomy
I understand but following simple tips like that will most definitely help you practice anatomy
Yo BG draw a circle, and send a screenie, lets just practice lines first
Uh clean nice circle
(just try your best and send, I think you won't get it correctly because we haven't practiced this
That seems good
Okay that's a bit worse, try and do it a bit smaller maybe
bro's line already better
Yeah, he didn't know what was pen stabilization. It was a easy fix ngl
Or maybe he did some more practice too I don't know. I just said him about pen stabilization
ok now what we gonna do with the circle?
I was trying to draw something to make you understand, it didn't work out
So first thing, you can actually trace circles on top of a better circle
To make your self more used to it
🤔
If you want dots like how the other person said try and imagine it but remember to curve it so it doesn't look like a different shape
why we trying to practice fucking circle
Where are you gonna start then huh?
i can draw circle
Okay then, why did you say you couldn't when I said to draw it that time
Yeah I know it, I don't really use it because it makes my sketch seem more confusing
i didnt mean "i cant draw circle" i trying to say when i draw circle on that pose drawing its look weird
Oh yeah and guess what I asked when you said that?
my brain cant take longer
Lol wanna stop for today then?
Ohh
Lol
big brain moment
Can you actually explain what's wrong then?
Huh
Also makes it wrong, if you wanna use a triangle you gotta acknowledge that legs don't move with it
come on bruh
its a sketch
tringale will gonna gone when its gonna be a full character drawing
its a method to draw
Okay but sketches make the drawing, sure it doesn't have to be perfect but atleast use it in a way where the legs move separately from it
Okay one second, will you just remove the triangle so that the legs are floating then connect them to the other square which would mess up your length for the legs. What do you use it for
The guidelines of legs don't exist because legs can move so much. Something that it doesn't always work
wait wiat
Yeah?
look, like this
Okay that's what I'm complaining about triangle lines going doesn't matter, I'm complaining that your using it as a guideline for your leg
What is it?
but i cant explain how to do it
How exactly?
Sure then
Why not?
Just explain that I will let you do your own thing
You didn't the furthest we got was you said no to not knowing circles and then it being a misunderstanding
AHHH
tringale is much easy
Your gonna freak when you do 3/4th side bodies then lmao
Yeah what are those
method
using different methods for different views is gonna be crazy
But ig it's possible
Slower and harder but possible
Now I just thought about it more becuz your a beginner you kind of wouldn't know WHEN to switch methods probably
Dude picks the hardest ways to get to his goals lmao
Practice this tommorow, and since it's practice don't worry about finishing it just let it be something where you can change the drawing even when you think it's too late to fix something okay? And no chicken scratching, just think imaginary dots
Ye
Yeah definitely better
From that first drawing to this is a mayor improvement, good job dude :3 keep practicing, idk much about anatomy personally in which eventually i really need to get into it but really, great job ✨
@fallen abyss this is what I do to make the charector feel more real, I'm not really sure I can call it elbow, it's just supposed to be the joint for the arm. Yeah that seems a better name for it. The circle for this doesn't have to be perfect either lol. I mostly only draw it when the cylinders arent covering everything. Ngl, you have been improving alot even if you haven't noticed it. There's still little things that you should keep in mind about but your geting there
Try and just draw circles and cylinders, for the legs
Just try it and see how far you go, btw your forgetting spine
i didnt
look closely
and circles looks bad when its a side wiew
and its not working
I think this video has some helpful advice for your anatomy 🙂

In this video I go over a common mistake artists make when trying to draw poses
Other than the clothes, which you can add on later
This is the same thing but on your drawing, actually uh when I said you to practice this, I said take note of the shapes. This is because our bodies look thinner from the side, yk how you learnt boxes human bodies arent perfect boxes, this means that your going to have to learn different shapes in different perspectives. These are harder to do than a box. Also another thing you may be doing is not trying to learn from refrence. Your using your current knowledge on the refrence, yes but you should also learn from the refrence, look at width and height and angles of everything. Think about what makes this different than other anime drawings. Yeah so you aren't trying to draw the refrence in a way but Learn the refrence. This means the more you draw with refrences the more you will improve.
Lol I drew a very wonky box
Honestly adding the spine is something that's important too
The person above gave a video and look at your refrences spine.
I'm not the best at spines
I actually learnt it late in my art, I used to just memorise how the ribcage and pelvis are rotated in side view never really learnt why until a bit ago, improved everything in my drawings simpler and harder poses. I'm still not the best at it but yeah
Btw wtf I just realised that you made clean line art, no chicken scratching let's goo
Ur op
私の名前はBGで、私は良い引き出しになるつもりです!
(one piece reference)
iam gonna do thinner
side profile
iam gonna do thinner when its side profile
like you said
I sent a good video about spines if you wanna see it. Super helpful
Here
Thanks!
Good, still missing a spine though, so a spine looks like this (the white part) in side view and the boxes Rotate when that happens. In your drawing neither does it match realistic spine and niether the refrences spine.
Lol, I think atleast 40% are from me and BG
Still alot lmao
You might as well suggest it with just looking at the newest one
We gotta beat them🫡
Like anime but dragon ball z style
I've been drawing the dragon ball z style for 2+ years, I can give some insight
Nicee
It's my primary style so let's take a look at what they've done currently
They are kinda just learning anatomy rn
It's a good start, Z's style is very boxy, kinda basic but extremely detailed muscles
So when I draw, I usually start with the head, a basic circle works then I continue with mainly squares and rectangles to decide where each muscle goes
They miss out certain muscles groups and focus on those that have a big impact on screen
They're more blocky
Danggg
Damn that's good
What do you use rectangles for?
I use it to determine the legs, since they're more long and thick due to the Gis
Makes sense
But it depends, it seems you're trying to reference Dragon Ball Super Broly's Version of Goku
A lot simpler, and a lot nicer to look at
I'll show a quick timelapse of what I do to begin with, hold on
A super fast one I just drew
It's about getting the pose, then the sketch, then the line art
lol real if the chats too big for me to catch up I just scroll to another
Yeah I don't blame you
iam a male so you can call me "he" instead "they"
dayum
Yeah sure
did i say uhh iam gonna draw dragon ball z style?
Using Goku as a reference made them assume that I'm guessing, since using him as a reference gives off that impression
i cant draw the legs
i cant draw body (getting more better)
true right?
iam getting better
and
i think
what a fuck
theres fucking 44 people in this chat
💀
Oh sorry, I assumed because most of the time you used dragon ball refrences. Which one do you wanna learn?
Do you wanna start with realism instead if your not sure what style you want
Uhh pose refrences do make the pose more of that style, everystyle does proportions a bit differently. For dragon ball you can definetly see it in the face and chest. For other styles like JJK they have more realistic but anime proportions just examples
Lol, if you don't know we can learn semirealism that will allow you to go to any anime style or realism. Don't worry much about it to much, artstyles don't do much
Oky
do you know which kind of anime styles you like? Like specific eye styles or poses or body, etc etc
That can help you in the future when you want to develop your own style since your still learning the fundamentals
and once you learn the fundamentals you break them to make your style
🤔
i love the style of eye is naruto
the body art style is jujutsu kaisen
the hair drawing style is demon slayer
Ohh nice
Hey btw, what would you prefer do you rather do some deep studies on spefic parts and how to draw them with shapes etc or would you rather learn like everything together and get angles and other stuff right with it. Because some people do make more progress when they are using the strategy they are better with, I was just thinking because when you learned the eye I think you were having alot of fun unless I'm wrong
Like except of tackling everything at once we just do a very deep dive on specific parts, etc etc?
Nothing to worry about then
Didn't mean to fry up your brain lol, what I'm saying isn't too serious anyway
ok
https://youtu.be/qoZB9ieSVfs?si=r5zsFw7fyWMnUhRj
I think this can help you alot. Ussually everything is very stiff and you don't really get how to use these boxs. Knowing the front, side and everything for the ribcage and pelvis is very important.
In this video we'll have a look at how to draw the torso. A lot of artist begin by studying anatomy if they want to draw figures. But anatomy is complicated and isn't gonna make life easy for you. If you can draw with form and draw a box, you can simplify anatomy. This will help your figure drawing whether it's for life drawing or for drawing fr...
Only do the exercise shown in video but I thought I would give a example of this
It's not my art btw, I just drew boxes over it to give you a example
Drawing with no zooming in is hard in phone so the boxes aren't correct lol
oke
yo iam not gonna go to school tomorro
so iam gonna practice like 1 hour
and i have a question
when i can draw good pose box method
iam gonna learn how to draw characters?
You will
Until you find it easy to do, and then you incorporate anatomy more to perfect your art
sorry, i need to use chicken sketching for legs
i fixed the arms
other arm fixed too
- spine
iam doing good?
yes!!!!!!! those look great
I just saw this journey and oh my god you are improving so much, never give up on your dreams
nice improvement!!
One thing I just wanna hop in and suggest is that you should make the torso a bit thinner towards the abdomen. Men's chests are a bit wider at the top, and then their abdomen is always a bit smaller than their shoulders and chest! Although, females' waists are smaller, so don't make the waist too small.
Good job! Your doing great
Doing awesome! Saw how much you improved and very impressed 👏
If you still wanna improve more read this
So in side view things are rotated a bit because of the spine, it's how the spine sits without anything. I put how much you should rotate it (except for 90, I wrote that so it be easier to show it's not straight). Btw geting the exact line to be perfectly this amount of angle is hard its because of practice I can do it. Just try to get near 65 and you probably will end up with 60 or 70 don't worry much
Hmm once your a bit more experienced I will make you watch the sine video again so you can actually know how the spine moves lol.
uh
i cant get fun when i drawing
