main thing is face anatomy and that i cant see much since you took the screenshot so far away 😭

#

also hair, practice hair. It looks very stiff and the bangs(? need work and more confident lines

really depends on what you want to improve on the most! like tofia said the anatomy in this drawing isnt very clear since youre hiding it with the cloak, everything looks very stiff too, try applying gravity to the drawing and have the top of the hoodie rest on the head of the character instead of floating above like somethings holding it up!

You don’t need to draw in the middle of the canvas, but I would personally recommend drawing larger. You will still have space for your reference!
I have found it makes things a tad bit easier ☺️

Even if it is for having your fun. It is best to avoid common mistakes even if it works for you at one pont in time

My friend is an artist and she almost... yeah

Anyway, try to go out of your comfort zone at times!

Ok you clearly only have a narrow scope of what makes a happy artist. I can guarantee bob ross had regrets. He just didnt vocalize it much. Doesnt mean it never happened. Plus back then there wasnt really a necessary reason to say those things on tv when the point of his show was to boost people’s confidence in themselves

#

I can guarantee theres a lot of happy artists out there. Being a happy artist≠no regrets whatsoever

#

Mr rogers definitely had days where things felt hopeless or even frustrated. But does that mean he wasnt happy and supportive

lmao how are you gonna improve if you dont listen to any advice thats been given. they make logical points that will actually be beneficial to you. skill issue if u cant draw without the symmetry tool.

i advise you to balance your fun works and non-fun works. theyre not fun because its meant to build your skills. the only thing you can do is make it less boring by practicing in a way thats engaging to you. you should def learn the fundamnetals and get as much practice in as possible

and you should rlly let go of the symmetry tool, if you dont get used to drawing normally now it'll be hard to get used to not doing it in the future
